Its the phrase 'Players will sort it out for themselves in-game' that always makes me laugh. So naive. Players either are the problem or stop playing the game or find a different way by blocking or moving to PG or Solo if available. The numbers of people playing as lawfuls who actively seek PVP is tiny...because its more fun playing a bad guy than a good guy. Hats off to the lawfuls but it just aint a solution.

LEP was fine. Its was the higher tier alpha pledges where things got silly.

Godlike powers.... that one was just downright stupid and the one time i've actually been glad to see a developer actually welch on a deal.

I watched some video where there were giant wireframe cubes being drawn in space over and over again. What on earth was that about? It didn't do anything to sell me on the game.

Seriously, I'm one of the few people who doesn't play that game for the "dress-up" aspect of it (in fact, fighting girls in bathing suits ruins my immersion). Those who do can literally spend thousands of dollars on cosmetic-only clothing. I'll be honest, it's kinda hard not to judge, but then I consider that pixel dresses are way more environmentally-friendly than all the real junk people waste thousands of dollars on that eventually ends up in a landfill. So yeah, "Dress the (virtual) cheerleader, save the world!"

I've got the sneaking suspicion that the removal of the no-fire zone around PO has something to do with this 9 tails lockdown event that was mentioned...something fishy about it overall. It's not like Ci¬G aren't aware the effect it would cause....at least I'm hoping so. Some folks posting in that thread also have the same suspicions.

I'm not a nOOb, a long way from it, 🙂 know about the coming Pirate Lockdown, i know something is going to happen to PO probably before the Orison LZ and i know that's coming in the next quarterly patch, i get the same feeling you do about what is going on here 🙂

But its not terribly thought through (at this time) with them promoting the game, think about the impression new players will get when they find themselves trapped there because of this crap, the "Event" is not until 3.13.1, its best to wait until the event before doing this so people know why its happening to them.

Protip, if you don't want to faff around with the quote tags you can start a line with the greater than sign (>) and it will make that line a quote block.

Putting things in quotes makes it clear you are quoting someone else.

An asterisk (*) at the beginning and end of a word, line or paragraph will give you italics...I know that one...discovered completely by accident after trying to use asterisks as off the cuff emphasis markers :)
