From June 30, in France, a Health pass will be required to go to events of more than 1,000 people.

On the other hand, it will not be compulsory "to access the places of everyday life such as restaurants, theaters and cinemas.

All French people will be concerned, but also foreign tourists.

It is Parliament that will decide
on its functionality, since it is a tool "which affects our fundamental freedoms" insisted the Prime Minister

For the moment, the country is already experimenting with this health pass with Corsica. This should quickly be the case for the overseas departments, then for border countries such as Germany, Spain or Belgium.

Ultimately and on a continent-wide, this health pass could be requested from all members of the European Union who wish to go from one country to another. The goal is to allow all Europeans "to certify that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19, that they have passed a negative PCR test, or negative rapid antigen, or that they are immunized after having been infected "

Long live democracy ! (y)

You realize gazillions of people take mandatory or adviced precautions/vaccinations if they go travelling abroad for holiday ? Or business, or any other matter . Applies for several diseases/Viruses, in several countries of the world .

@Patrick_68000
So, you have 2 months to reduce your case numbers but then let ppl into close environments without a test or vaccination?
Might work for you guys but have at it, all in the name of democacy, of course.
Edited because i misread the dates.
In fact we are already free for a lot of things, and this will continue from May 3 in reality and gradually.

France decided to live with the virus and adapt to circumstances in real time.

Three options will be in effect.

Vaccination, negative PCR / Antigen test and Antibodies.

These three options will be applied in a few months to all the countries of the European Union.

😷

Also, are these the same vaccine passports the UK government vaccine minister Nadhim Zahawi stated the UK would not have as that's "not how we do things here"
The UK is a great democracy for a long time. Confirmed here by the Minister. (y)

I think they may be red listed unless something changes. Only an issue driving and if you don't use an alternate ferry route though. I suppose it would be possible so set up a safe travel corridor from the chunnel to the rest of Europe.
All Britons are welcome as usual in France and in the countries of the European Union.

Vaccinated or not vaccinated, with a negative test or antibodies.

I'm really not convinced that trying to live with the virus is a particularly good idea.
The longer it exists, the more chances it has to mutate until we hit the really bad one...which we really don't want to happen.

The 30% who refuse the vaccine are responsible people and the authorities respect their freedom.

😷

The authorities are trying to lift the age restriction on vaccines as people who want them can't get them and the anti-vaxxers in the eligible categories are slowing the system down.

The public, too, are keen to receive their doses. According to an Elabe poll for BFMTV, 70% of French people are in favour of opening the vaccination to all adults. It also found that, in a traditionally vaccine-sceptic nation, the acceptance of anti-Covid vaccines is at 62%.

Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo told Franceinfo last week: "I believe that the age question must be let go, because it is still a scandal that doses are not used when there are many people who wish to be vaccinated."

Scientists and members of the medical community are also keen to speed up the vaccine programme.

62% is nowhere near enough to keep people who can't be vaccinated safe. This approach will not work.

"Live with the Virus" is what has gotten us into the global mess we are in .

I have not heard a single trained Immunologist say "Let's go for population immunity via natural infection." in these past 16 or so month . Not one . I guess it has something to do with what they learned, and keep themselves busy with professionally .

Live with the virus also means the rest of us have to live with it as the nations that fail at vaccination will act as a constant source of reinfection.
I am pretty sure quite a few german people will only realize what's on when they learn they are not looked at as "Welcome guests" anymore . About 2 weeks ago, some business people publicly ( in media ) expressed their "ciritique" towards China's strict QuarantineRules for travellers from Germany/EU - yeah, even businesstravellers.

Yeah.

As if China, or any other place which takes that Virus seriously would care the slightest bit about their critique .

I am really chuckling at the thought of how some of these people will react when they are told "Get Vaccinated or bust" when wanting to go abroad .

On the other hand, I know a person who is in mortal danger by a single Wasp . She carries a little emergency bag on herself at all times, in case she does get stung . Also undergoes "desensibilization" ( correct word?) therapy for months now, and this will go on a while . She is hesitant to get vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 for exactly that reason .

For me as long as the freedom of choice is respected, I am happy.

The 3 options are the best.

Vaccination certificate or PCR / Antigen test negative, or Antibodies. (y)

😷
In the long run, people will have to get tested for ABs if not vaccinated to be sure . Any kind of AntiGen test does not really work when it comes to realiably wanting to deny the Virus any hosts .

I’m not unfamiliar with sectioning, in my case a friend. In hindsight, would you say that you required that injection and those burly men? Did it help you or your loved ones at the time?
My friend would have harmed himself or others and although challenging to all involved, we understood and accepted the requirement at the time.
Is that the same for vaccines?
Nope. I just got to sleep a lot.

Edit: That is not really fair. Yes the place helped me a great deal, once I understood, after a few months, that someone was actually listening to me. But it took a couple of years, to sort things out.

Time is a great healer, as they say..
I had a bit of a melt a few years back and it took me a while to sort myself out. I could hardly form a sentence at one point.
Much better now though not at 100%. Mostly sane, i swear!

20 years, and counting .

Tb fully honest, by now I actually don't want to get fully sane anymore . Too much going on that would likely drive me crazy .
🤷‍♂️

Yep, that's why i avoid social media, too much noise and very little sense. Same with TV, I imagine i'd be a "stressed eric" if all i did was watch it all the time...so i just get the news when i want it. It helps.
