Check memory usage, tools show 15% of VRAM used and GPU 100%. That is infinite loop there, so GPU just do nothing, not even loads textures., the whole problem is in the video memory. I have 1050 2gb.
Oh...god that only makes this whole thing worse....Well, in the issue tracker I can see, that quite some players with 3+ Gb video RAM still experience this bug.
That is not only a texture issue, but a geometry one. It is loading low res textures and low polygon count 3d meshes.During all the alpha and still today at the launch of odyssey I have this major issue with all the textures in the game. I've tried every almost every different settings and even with low it doesn't fix. I just want to know if I'm the only one with this issue and if not is there someone who successfully fixed it ?
I have a GTX 1050, intel core i7-7700HQ CPU 2.80 GHz, 16 Go ram

nop it still does not work reset settings also does not workOkey guys, I think i found fix
Disable "shader preparation on startup" - set it OFF, and restart client complete.
I just did mission on ground base - saw 90% of textures I think, including pretty cool rocky ground.
It seems they have caching problem. That checkbox preloads things, and later it is kicked out because of low memory, but code never tries to load it back as assumes it was preloaded.
You're below recommended specs. That's probably how the game adapts to your hardware to ensure you still get decent fps. Nope the common denominator is low spec cards with very low VRAM. The images/symptoms reflect it. Not enough memory to load what“s needed . I’m sure it’s probably page it pretty hard too which will reduce performance even more.I don't want to be that guy, but I've seen some specs posted here that are under the minimum. You might glean some extra performance if they do some further optimization but they've pretty much made everything higher resolution in Odyssey so it's going to need more VRAM.
Also note the lower the resolution the more your CPU becomess a limiting factor. Where the term CPU bound appliesIts VRAM for sure. At native res on my GT 1030 (I have a 21:9 monitor) I get Quake guns, if I lower it to < 1600 x 900 the 'real' assets appear much more often.
Also note that the low low poly stuff makes doing laser cutting impossible, since the LOD takes away the guides to follow.
Tried it - nothing changedThere are a couple of things that can help. The upgraded game carries over (inappropriate) settings from previous versions and the Alpha.
Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics and backup the files there and delete the originals before restarting the game. Note that this will kick of the Planet Generation System circle-of-wait when you load the next time.
Check to see if you have Ransomware Protection enabled (likely not if you can take screen shots) in your PC settings. If it is enabled, and I highly recommend switching it on, then you can add EliteDangerous64.Exe in there. If it has been silently block EDO you can add it from the recently blocked apps list.
