Your thoughts please on the BGS and Odyssey?

- two non-native factions, not present in system (usually), in none-state, at 0%

system: Jaoi, 9 Factions present now

Do we have a clue how to display "DELIVER TO" faction in the mission board BEFORE accepting a mission?

Ship missions, not the legs one...

That's sure what I thought, but in the (few) systems I've checked where the controlling faction owns all stations/outposts/bases they ended up owning all the settlements, too. In one system where a single other faction held an installation the controlling faction still owned all the settlements. I haven't looked yet at systems with a broader mix of ownership.

In my home system there won't be any wars because of the change. YMMV.

So it turns out (as I think others have noticed) that the nav panel doesn't give a settlement's ownership while you're in normal space, the way it does for stations, outposts, and bases. Back in my home system I'm seeing the controlling faction as the owner of all the system's settlements; but in spite of that there's a war on now with two of the settlements at stake.

I await the current shambles of "bigger factions with lots of assets have lots of pressure to snowball, while pirate factions are literally everyone else's target with no incentive to work for them" to continue.

I'm thinking that raiding settlements takes too much security - for squadrons, which have PMF (consoles and those, who not have Odyssey only) it's very hard to counter it, even while using bounties/missions/trading weapons/bonds, especially in larger population systems (because in this systems repairing security can takes ages). For pirate factions (if have any settlements), they should be no effect on their security (as like in Horizons). And I agree with Screemonster.

Its a couple of hours after the tick, and I can see tick changes have happened in my system on Inara.
I log on to EDO from the Desktop, and see the system state from BEFORE the tick.
Swith to EDH, and the changes appear.

Dont know if its a caching bug, or if EDO servers are not getting their data a quick as other servers

NB - Switched back to EDO, and it is still Pre-Tick.

It gets worse.
EDO seems to have ticked about midnight, and Inf has changed even more.
In the last 12 hours a system has gone from Election Active -> Election Complete with a Gap of 8% -> Election Complete with a Gap of 14%

Its not the first Midnight Inf change we have seen recently, but with the Election ending it has shown something is badly wrong rather than just misstimed.

Last time the ticks becomes strange, that's for sure.

While some systems already have ticks in about 20, some systems have ticks in about midnight. In that situation it's really easy for confusion.
For me, raiding settlement in Odyssey also need changes (from significant decrease security - small decrease security), or will be lesser effect in higher population systems. How factions (any) can might counter this if even bounty hunting can be now easily countered in perms of security state, especially in highly populated systems ?

Most of my group like odyssey and we are back to playing every week. Before this we had not done much for at least 6 months in elite.
Honestly, congrats. Most of my friends at this point said "screw this" and literally haven't touched the game since Odyssey came out. I'm the exception. Looking at the Steam stats, at least, the interest in the game has really jumped off a cliff, and my group (middle-aged guys) just don't have time to wade through the Odyssey bulls**** when they could be playing a game that actually works. C'est la vie.

Also, we are all Arma 3 players and are used to a buggy game with a low frame rate.... so that will also be part of the "why" my group do not really mind elite.
