honestly I am sick of the coverups that Fdev do - just be honest with your paying customers, without which your shareholders will dump you like garbagePlease don't do the typical PR move which is to downplay the issues to some server issues and a little needed polish. It's a major launch fail with a half baked product missing central features which was rushed out to meet quarterly bonuses and inflate stock prices.
I'd prefer honesty and transparency and to speak to us as if we're not idiots (many of us are fellow game developers) and that'd go a long way in earning our trust back slowly over time. Everyone screws up in life, not everyone admits to it and owns it.
Dear developer, are you f..ing out of your mind? Is the word "exciting" really in place to use it?We'll be diving into all the exciting things Commanders have been doing since launch.
What, screenshots of all the various disconnects? Screenshots of empty storage lockers and empty data terminals after the server forcibly disconnects us? Screenshots of the Steam "mostly negative" rating on ED:O? Screenshots of the "wing signal" 100m away, of your friend in your team and PG, who the server has not placed in your instance? Screenshots of the bizarre and astronomical engineering costs of gear?Wednesday
Stellar Screenshots: Stellar Screenshots has the potential to be special this week! For the first time, the galaxy is opened up for Commanders to explore on foot, so we're expecting some amazing images!
This sounds ridiculous and pre-arranged with the hope that Odyssey wouldn't be broken after release. You really should cancel these fluff streams until "exciting" actually works for people.Tuesday
Supercruise News #34: It's our first Supercruise News post Odyssey launch! We'll be diving into all the exciting things Commanders have been doing since launch.
With current broken lighting and downgraded planet tech, I would expect a flood of visual bugs instead.Wednesday

Try team missions on "release build". That is the real "trouble".Thursday

My best guess is - no Roadmap as usualAs someone who did work in the gaming industry previously I can tell you, that it will take time to create a Roadmap especially when it comes to bugs or tuning of game mechanics. Without going into Detail, many different departments need to work together to figure things out and that will take time.
My best guess is, that we will have something that resembles a Roadmap either end of this week or next week. Probably more like end of next week.
Do a conflict zone in a team and see if you can finish one without it breaking. I dare you.
Dear developer,
The most difficult part of creating the roadmap in my past experience was finding the problems and quantify it through data. Angry forum threats don't help in finding underlying issues, since most of the players only convey their feelings of something and not the issue itself.I hope you are right. If a Roadmap is actually presented to the Elite Dangerous Community, it would do a lot for morale on both sides of the fence, that is Devs and Users. Pragmatic and viable Roadmaps are undoubtedly not easy to assemble and create. Presenting a Roadmap to the Community is also a respectful gesture. What I found to be very painful about Odyssey was the lack of respect of our intelligence and time.
And once again, most of Frontier are NOT to blame. The Community Managers do the best they can. It's the upper management, who shamefully use the Community Managers as meat shields to take the ire of the community. Well this community is too sophisticated for that.

[EDIT: I don't know anyone who works for Frontier. I live in the US.]
wrong... I red and made contrubitons to many threads talking about the problems... many tickets I voted for those problems... yet there is no response from fdev... so people get angry and u just talking about those angry posts...The most difficult part of creating the roadmap in my past experience was finding the problems and quantify it through data. Angry forum threats don't help in finding underlying issues, since most of the players only convey their feelings of something and not the issue itself.
So someone has to dig through it, talk to the technicians and coding teams of said game mechanic and look at the design concept.
Was the design flawed? Was it correctly implemented? Meeting after meeting, talk talk talk is taking up most of the time.![]()
firsr off, I am not talking about your house here... that post was for F.D. second off, do u have a barbecu party while waiting fire brigade..!? if u didnt get the post, dont quote it... it may be hard to understand my posts because english is not my natural language... I can understand that...If my house is burning Id realise whats actually important and know that the Fire Brigade will be along at some point and probably cant teleport there immediately.
