Odyssey specs don't look good for PS4

RDR2 Online plays perfectly on a base ps4... odyssey is not as special or made as well as RDR2.
thus. odyssey will play perfectly fine on a ps4. period end of story.

I am guessing we may see something like the first graphic, that's low setting on PC Odyssey. The other is ultra.

I hope that Horizon players will have a choice as to whether they want the new planet tech on console.
Another thread somewhere said that Horizon players will get the new planet tech free of charge, but from what I have seen so far, I'd rather just keep what we have now.
I'm hoping that the update that gives us this new planet tech, will not be mandatory. In other words, only download it if you want it.

I think that on console come autumn launch, we WILL get the new UI and the new planetary tech, no matter if we want it or not.
The fact that they back peddled on everyone getting the new planet tech when Odyssey released imo confirms that they knew the state the game was in when they released. They did that crap intentionally

Dirty glasses are fine to see out of, until you clean them and realise how bad they really were...
Well as long as it looks the way we all thought it would do from the pre launch advertising, then that's ok.
But as it looks now in some images..... no thanks.
While that'd be nice, i doubt it will be allowed, given how Elite is designed, where your playing environment has to be the same so everybody else can play with you - even if you perhaps never leave Solo...
Hopefully they just fix the new tech, so we're glad to have it - fingers crossed it doesn't take too long

I admit, having worked professionally as a graphics tech developer already two decades ago, having developed one in-house 3D engine core (w/ continuous LOD, occlusion culling, all the bells and whistles you could have in the early 00's), having worked full time, for over six years now and counting, in the VR industry using both Unity and Unreal Engine, I was pretty confident the situation possibly couldn't be that nightmarish within FDev.
