Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Speaking of which, remind me to buy my black friday skins this year, i keep forgetting! The clipper will look great in all black!
It certainly does, also went all across the galaxy in one (fully engineered of course, and with that black friday skin), during DW2, to Beagle Point and back, best ship in ED IMHO.
Same reason why I went for Crusader ships in SC: the design cues have the same "clean / white" inspiration as Gutamaya (especially the interior), and turns out these are also quite nimble, same way as the Clipper.

Isn't it owned by Future Publishing these days (PC Gamer's parent)?
Yes and yes. Should tell you everything you need to know.

Edit: Back in the day even before it got sold, it had a reputation for being biased to and against certain manufacturers, depending on how many "incentives" they would give them. This was back in the Intel/Athlon days, 3DFX, Matrox and all those companies, around the same era as when CR was last relevant in the gaming industry.

Oh man, 3DFX Voodoo. That sweet, sweet, smudging blurriness of textures in Quake.

Seems like SC got a mench in Tomshardware :

I will be interested to see if CIG actually manage to implement this.

Well they are not wrong about that, SC is the only game i know that will load all 16 of my threads, jumping from a 4 threads CPU to a 12 thread CPU increased my performance by up to a factor of 3.

Anyway, i made the mistake of attempting a cave mission and found a familiar old bug returning.

Some ranting for your entertainment.

Since I posted about having the C2 as a loner, took it out and did some trading tonight. Sadly, no fancy clothes for mine.

And holy hell is the stock QT drive slow. 17 minutes from microtech to arccorp.:sleep::sleep:
Aye, chuck a Pontes or better on it...same as the Cat and M2 have as standard. I usually fit a B class Ballandin on the S3 stuff. Good mix of speed and fuel useage. The A class TS-2 drives are quick but way too thirsty for cargo hauling...spend all the profits filling the fueltank up.

Ballandin drive is up at CRU-L5, Pontes at Olisar and a few other places.

The MSR is missing from 2020 in that.
The Prowler is also missing from 2019, that's 3 released ships he didn't include in those charts, i bet there's more if i look hard enough.

You're reading it wrong friend :)

It's arranged by announcement year. So the MSR is there under 2018, for example. (As a collapsed box, to show it has at least released to "flight ready" standard. If not, y'know, "actually working as advertised" standard ;))

The F8C could be released as it's a light version of the F8A which is done. But CIG will never add it to SC before the launch of SQ42 as it's an iconic ship of SQ42.

CIG's ability to release endless fighters is not really in question. Releasing the large expensive ships with unique technical gameplay functions though? Yeah... those are kinda more absent from that list... (Or just launched in 'flight ready' form alone...)

They'll probably sell the F8C 'prince of all fighters' before they sell the F8A 'king of all fighters' though, for sure. That would be very CIG ;)
