I wouldn't even call it punishment, FDev have every right to engage, or not, with any streamer or entity as they see promotes their brand and product.
This is the bottom line isn't it, for all the panty waving and crying? Y'all didn't want the on-foot gameplay so lets tear the whole thing down just to prove how right we were that it wasn't right for Elite, because we, who love the game more than anyone else, said so.

You don't have to tear something down to admit you got it it very wrong. You don't have to tear something down to fix it. However, stating you have no real plan and offering a simple sprint cycle to fix a few bugs and following that to say it won't be right for months to come, is asking to get your panties kicked!
