ANNOUNCEMENT Odyssey Update 2021

Well I for one am expecting Ship Interiors

..... :ROFLMAO:
Many ppls complains about ship interiors, but what it changed in game? Game have tons of bugs and weak points. Current DSS for mineral scanning worst i ever see in games, devs just make harder to players to get materials, but it just leads to waste of time in stupid riding planet surface for miles.

UI nedd to be improved, not just tons of submenus, but may be like in Eve online drag and drop to slots. And many other aspects that already been implemented in space simulator but did not fixed in game!

I don't care about patch notes, I wouldn't even expect any after yesterday's scheduled patch. I would just like to know when the game is going to be available. I had to leave the PC running last night for it to finish the huge Thursday update, I can't believe this one is planned/scheduled, the roadmap said weekly not daily. So far in two whole days I've been able to play the game for about 2 hours.

In game notice said 1 hour, so approximately 1 hour from the time the servers went down.

Yep, I modified my steam review to include the two patch a week cadence. Absolutely unprofessional- in any industry. Mistakes happen, so releasing a second patch here or there to hotfix something is both acceptable and appreciated. However, making errors that necessitate a patch for your patch- by routine- that is simply unprofessional in any industry.

You implement your product correctly the first time. You just do it. When you've shown a consistent inability to do such a thing- on both a macro and micro level, that is when you deservedly draw ire.

It must be comically easier to work for fdev and similar gaming companies than say, anybody who develops for enterprise/commercial

Edit: I actually do expect patchnotes. I am 100% invested in understanding exactly how this company is modifying the product license I'm using. Especially when the modifications could include things like security fixes and who knows what. No company should be encouraged to make undocumented changes to software you run on your devices.

That's funny, Black Desert Online did a patch yesterday, and today they had an emergency maintenance to fix a problem caused by the patch, seems to be industry standard to me. That's happened in lots of games I have played so I don't see where you get your information.

I get my information from being a professional in my own industry and understanding the consequences for repeated failure on almost all levels of product implementation?

You can justify a two-patch a week cadence all you want. Its absolutely the mark of ineptitude. But I suppose you think this DLC was a solid release.

There is no software that is fault free, good software is only good because no-one has found the problems yet. I don't know what your own industry is, but it's a lot easier building a wall to engineering specs than writing perfect software, and you know what? A lot of walls still fall over!

It varies, however much of the software industry has long been plagued with low standards, largely because clients can easily be confused by technology, don't complain and the companies get away with it. You'll find the same ramshackle QA in much of the industry, although much less so in some key areas such as the medical, military and financial sectors.

Still didn't fix the 'reflexe' that makes IMPOSSIBLE to see the courier radar

Are you in any form surprised about the non fix....? I'm not !!! Well, I shall put it this way... Arthur our Head CM contradicts everything D.B. was saying in the past, Dev is not doing their job and we, the Customers get shafted from behind. Honestly, every time I see one of our CM's on Twitch, I expect nothing but a mountain of rubbish. In other words, FDev is treating us like "Mushrooms" : Covered in crap and kept in the dark. Nothing what we write or say on this Forum makes the slightest difference to FDev. It starts to become amusing how Arthur and Zac are simply IGNORING the Customer Base. BTW, I applied for a Job as CM with FDev, needles to say I didn't get the job, as I'm not able to lie though my teeth to the rest of us here. I have lost all faith and trust, not only in our CM's but also in FDev as a whole. Elite Dangerous used to be the Number one game.... now, I have stopped playing because, the crap they did with Odyssey affects Horizons as well. And yes,......you can be certain: FDev doesn't give a toss about it.
