No, I wasn't blocked by the door, I was blocked by the passage being full of enemies!AFAIK you can't be blocked inside a building, even if you don't have access.

Aha, as I understood it from your description, there was one open door full of enemies and another door with lvl 2 clearance you couldn't get through. No, I wasn't blocked by the door, I was blocked by the passage being full of enemies!
They are twitchier than a nightclub bouncer at 2am.Those gaurds and stuff at bases... they think they're all colonial marines, real tough hombres.
"Watch it!"
"Why are you so close?"
Is everyone in the 34th century so rude?
Nah, I was in the room with level 2 access, but there was only one door out, to the corridor full of enemies. That's all I meantAha, as I understood it from your description, there was one open door full of enemies and another door with lvl 2 clearance you couldn't get through.
So I thought I'd point out that you could have actually used the other door.
Ah right.Nah, I was in the room with level 2 access, but there was only one door out, to the corridor full of enemies. That's all I meant![]()
Ideally. It's like with the ship - laser weapons against shields, kinetic weapons against hul... ehm... bodies. When doing an on foot combat mission, do you have to switch between weapons to take their shields down first before hitting the NPC themselves?
I haven't really thought about combat before although I have a few G2/3 weapons stashed away.
Thanks!Ideally. It's like with the ship - laser weapons against shields, kinetic weapons against hul... ehm... bodies.
Plasma weapons against both, but with a downside (like in ships) of really low projectile velocity and general clumsiness plus usually low ammo count.
Bindings?Thanks!
Looks like a rethink on some bindings in s incoming then!
For me, I am usually such a bad shootin' pray and spray gunner that by the time the shields for one target is down, the AR-50 clip is empty so I have to switch to the secondary weapon to finish the NPC.Ideally. Not if you use the plasma shotgun like I do. Just blast away. When doing an on foot combat mission, do you have to switch between weapons to take their shields down first before hitting the NPC themselves?

Last week I was at the Al-Din Terminal in Breucosia system, and it had missions that offered them. Not every time, but I was able to get them there. Of course, I have no idea if it's still the case.Anyone know of a system that is offering Digital Designs as missions rewards?
A melee firearm. Hmm.Not if you use the plasma shotgun like I do. Just blast away.
Somebody finally should do the science and find out which system states produce which mission rewards.Last week I was at the Al-Din Terminal in Breucosia system, and it had missions that offered them. You got a shotgun! Isnt a corridor sardined with enemies ideal?Nah, I was in the room with level 2 access, but there was only one door out, to the corridor full of enemies. That's all I meant![]()
Well, yes, in a way they were sitting ducks. But they kept turning and firing back, y'know, and my Mav suit's shield would go right down so I had to duck back into safety. I won, in the end.You got a shotgun! Isnt a corridor sardined with enemies ideal?
Yeah, I'm not usually a shotgun guy, but it's turning out to be very effective here. I don't bother as much with long-range. I just run about, keeping behind cover, until I can race up to one that isn't looking my way and blast them twice. Then I scoot off. 2 shots is usually enough if I'm right up close like that. I DO want the magazine size mod someday. 3 shots before reloading would be awesome, because then I could miss a shot and still take 'em down. Right now if I miss the second shot I have to scoot off anyway, and try again. Standing in one place is bad.I never use shotguns in any game, but considering how crap I am at hitting things in Odyssey, I should probably... well... consider it.
I hear it is. There's one guy (Hawkes) who's claiming to have spent over 300 hours already figuring this stuff out, so he can write the ultimate guide. 300 hours!Somebody finally should do the science and find out which system states produce which mission rewards.
If that is indded a thing.
