Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

So is the system willing to let you trade 2 Carbon Fibre (12pts) for 1 Carbon Fibre (11pts) leaving you with 1pt wasted and a new source of salt?
Of course, just like how they hope you accidently sell your Double Engineered FSD when swapping modules.

Hmm, I never tried. But my Tech is valuable, maybe I will trade trading some metal wire for metal wire later to see if it is allowed.

Not sure you can trade illegal stuff though... I have a few Hush in me saddlebags that don t get listed.

Also, I'd like to trade for weapon and chemical inventories but I can't see them listed.
Only assets can be traded. Goods and data cant.

Hush is a Good and weap/chem inventories is data.

I was expecting new engineering materials in Odyssey but this smorgasboard overload is highly irritating.

Yes. First click the one you want. Then click and add as many other stuff that you want to trade. It'll tell you as you go how many of the one you wanted you'll get in trade. Accept the trade when you have enough (trade rate is terrible).

Edit: Ninja'd. But I did use fewer words :p
Fewer words good. I'm particularly stupid these days.
Thanks guys. I'm gonna try.

I found out I won't be able to fly today and possibly tomorrow because I can't work the HOTAS throttle comfortably (I've got the second shot of vaccine and my left arm feels like it was lifting 50 pound dumbbells all day), but I can use WASD while resting my hand so I guess it's a sign to do more foot stuff. So it's ideal to go experimenting with this. :)

Took my first assassination mission. It was a legal mission, no bounty. I had to go into a base, locate the target, and terminate them. There was no requirement to be covert, but I wanted to be anyway.

Amazingly, I pulled it off without a hitch. I managed to locate the guy by using a public access terminal on the grounds. He was in a restricted access area, at least level 1 and possibly level 3.

I wandered around looking for an opportunity to clone someone's ID, and finally managed to get one of the guards to scan me away from everyone else. Then when he turned to go back on patrol, I was able to grab his ID from behind.

He was only level 1, but that would at least get me through the door of the building where the target was located. If it turned out he was deeper in, inside one of the level 2 or 3 access parts, then I'd have to figure that out.

But the target was just upstairs, still in the level 1 area. He saw me come in and was walking over to scan me. I had to quickly dump my fake ID, so he would not get suspicious. I did it just in time.

There was a worker walking about, so I waited for him to go downstairs. Once I had the target alone, I used the "surprise shotgun" stealth technique and blasted him. I immediately holstered my gun and ran out of there. The worker from downstairs came running up to investigate, but my weapon was stowed so he didn't bother with me.

I zipped out of there, back to my ship, with no alarms. Mission complete.

These missions are fun for me :)

LOL. I was just watching back some video I recorded from today. That "surprise shotgun" blast turns out to be funnier than I thought.

Here's before the shot:

Here's after. Notice that his lovely blond dreadlocks are completely gone. I blew his hair right off! :p

Yes, it's important. There's even a key bind for it.

....
Now there is a key bind, it was introduced in one of the recent updates, it used to be on one of the rotary controls.

No you didn't, if you look carefully his helmet and hairnet are deploying to protect his face so at least his family can give him a semi open casket funeral.

I'm usually working in the open the Nain logs, which is basically a GALNET driven narrative that revolves around my gameplay as a former Imperial slave from Cubeo 3, and whenever I don't put myself in a given place for the logs, I'm usually grinding for materials for ship builds or grinding trading for modules and ships. I'll dip into the various BGS faction manipulations via mission-running and targeted trading, depending on what I'm doing with the logs or anything happening on GALNET.

The anarchy system bartender will take your extra push, hush, lazurus, bio goods and most other prohibited stuffs.
The trade deals are by the numbers. Trade up to the higher goods.
Looking at engineering, we need to keep all that is found. So don't do any trade until you have major quantities of all engineering mats.

Yes, it looks like we have 1,000 each of consumables, assets, goods and data. That's quite an amount but considering how much just the backpack storage increase costs, it's probably not that much!

I really need to try some different stuff mission wise.

Found what looked like a juicy piece of wreckage (thread 3). Was awarded a scarlet krait.

Upon my return, said wreckage was despawned. Bah!

Not my day. Halfway to looting an IM3 and "irrevocable error on transaction server" yellow adder.

Time for lunch.
