When you crouch and move, your shoulder decals show in your field of view. Here I've got the black triple-elite shoulderpads. (I tried having no decal at all, but apparently the default is an orange blob?)

I am seeing that myself, I was wondering what that was, mine is red, I didn't realize it was the decals

I love to play Elite Dangerous Horizons, but I don't like the current state of Odyssey. I got really demotivated to play the game because I know in 6 months I will be forced to play a restricted version of Odyssey instead of Horizons. My fear is that Odyssey will not run smooth for me or give me the same experience as Horizons. It feels like I'm forced to play Odyssey in 6 months and gamble if I will have performance issues or not. What if in 6 months Odyssey will not run as smooth as Horizons? Will it still be merged? Or is there any possibility that the merge will get delayed if it doesn't function on the same level as Horizons?

I can basically 100% GUARANTEE you that it wont run as smooth as horizon in 6 month, in 12 month or more... so like never.
Due to the nature of the new graphics engine and the "wanted" changes to the looks of the game (planets, lightning etc..) it will always be more resource hungry than horizon is.
So the only thing you can pray for is prices dropping for graphics cards in the next 6 month so you can afford a better one...

It's OK, just keep your FC in a planet's shadow; the game is so dark, you won't see your paintjob. See? Problem solved.

Eh, happens. It hasn't been the smoothest of launches but you're doing what you can to rectify it.

I mean, you could also just release a product, feign ignorance and say it's a working game. But you're not like that.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I was getting infinite loading screens when starting up the game and fixed it by validating game files.

Shame my missions had now timed out due to how long to get the servers semi stable...... On top of continued Orange Sidewinder at every drop into a planet/orbital port etc.... Anoying!
