Have Some Friendlier Settlements

I love the effort put into the update, and I have a suggestion that would help the immersive believability for me.

It seems that in small settlement, most NPCs are on edge for a battle to start at any moment. There is an undercurrent of dislike for my presence that seems too routinely automatic. I don’t know if this is automatically so already, but if not, it would be nice if the NPCs behaved in a friendlier manner if my character is rated “friendly” or higher with the faction. It would also be nice if some settlements were inherently friendly unless I gave cause for otherwise.

I like that when I inappropriately (and accidentally) draw a weapon that the NPCs immediately go into combat mode. This feels like classic ED to me - even though it’s cost me several mission failures and having to learn the hard way.

I hope the VR efficiency improves over the next several months. Keep up the good work!!!!!!

This is so immersion breaking for me. Just how aggro the npc security is, im doing a 0 Threat pick up mission and every security guard wants to scan u and if u dont hold still they just shoot u. Whats the point of door scanners if every guard shoots u if u dont let them scan u.

only if you break scan radius, which is not easy to do unless you have a hyper wide monitor and extra tiny ui.

I breached a door and looked around inside, as I go out, suddenly a guard has opened fire. At a base where they're FRIENDLY. No fine, no scan, just attempting to kill me.

So apparently seeing a e-breach on a door panel means murdering anyone new inside?

e-breaches are illegal everywhere, so yeah lol.

In fact, they're already friendly. I often get a "Hey Commander" coming across a "Pilot" or "Hey, we don't get to see many new face around here !" from "scientists". Problem is, crossing path too close of someone immediately triggers an aggressive reaction. In a 2m large corridor, two 80cm shoulder wide people are bound to walk close when passing by, this shouldn't be considered as a personnal space violation for at least a few seconds.

I guess people developping AI at FDev often get aggressive reactions when crossing path with people in streets.

The guard was pointed AWAY when I slapped it on and slipped inside. That's the point- if I breached while in line of sight of a guard, that's different.
There's an illegal breacher on the door, and someone they've never seen before is inside.

If they didn't put 2 and 2 together in that case...

Yeah, this is the one that gets me, the almost instantaneous switch from "Hey, we don't get to see many new faces around here !" to "What are you doing here?" based on a slight shift in proximity.
