I don't know if it was the release of the Africa pack or the fact that we can now store 200 instead of only 50 animals in the trade center (or a combo of both), but this update has really invigorated the player animal trading in Franchise mode.
I am, literally, down to having NO animals in my trade center because they are selling faster than I breed them. Mind you, I don't play with accelerated speed too much, so I breed slowly....but prior to this update I was always running borderline full trade centers and frequently releasing rather than selling animals because I was out of room. I'm very pleased with the current level of market activity. It hasn't been like this for me since the first month or so after the game released.

I may be remembering wrong, but I don't think they've put their most recent DLC on sales that immidiate after release in the past. I am waiting for a sale before I buy it myself, so I hope you get your wish and that I am remembering incorrectly.

Don't think that's going to happen, new games or DLC usually skip at least 1 discount period, especially if it's this close.

Yah, that's my belief too....I've done the whole "Wishlist until a sale" on literally every Planet Coaster DLC and one or two previous PZ ones and I don't recall them ever being included on a sale until quite a while after they came out.

Wait, so what about a sale for the rest of the DLCs plus the base game? Because somebody wanted to buy it and I told them that PZ typically goes on sale after a major update/DLC release, but so far nothing (of course, it's only been 1 day, but still)

You aren't wrong at all. Perhaps everything except the newest DLC is going to be a part of the Steam summer sale, which begins tomorrow.

I've found the same thing, with it being better for me both when selling and buying. And it's really great for breeding and storing animals that I want to use soon. I feel like I'm able to go ahead and pick up a really good animal even if I won't be making their habitat until later, because I'm not as worried about running out of space.

I did hit the limit once already, but that was bound to happen no matter how many they allowed. But with 200, it's much easier to open up space than when you're trying to decide which of 50 has to be let loose too soon.

It's been really great for exhibit animals too. I have a lot of exhibits in my zoos, and tend to manage them en masse from the animal menu, using the exhibit animal filter and watching for welfare, age and stars as my guide. When it was 50, a single pass would require me to go in and out of different menus a lot. But with 200, I'm able to do a welfare check of all my exhibit animals in a single pass.

Perhaps most importantly, I've noticed a real improvement in my game play as a result. It's not just that my trading pattern is different, but my playing pattern too. I've been able to "be" in my zoos for longer stretches instead of being in my menu as much, and have been able to keep the game on play instead of pause more often, which has made the playability much more enjoyable for me. (Which is saying a lot, because I already enjoyed it so much before!)

The new mesh pieces are a blessing, thank you! I allready spend about 5 hours since the dlc hit ingame and havent touched any of the new pieces or animals even though i bought it because i had a blast building with the mesh pieces and completly restarting my jaguar habitat in the process. Now its finished and i love it, thank you so much!

I'm also very happy about the new Mesh Pieces. The first Thing I did after the Update was finally giving a Capuchin Monkey Enclosure a Mesh Roof. Those Pieces are great

They are an excellent development, thank you. I will post a specific thread on this but it would also be great if we could get them in pieces like walls and roof pieces that snap together including triangular pieces to maximise ease and creativity. But as I said, this is a great step. Thank you.

I focused too much on the small pieces of feedback and reporting the small bugs that I forgot to share that I absolutely adore all the work that was put into both the update and the DLC. One of the best ones for sure!

I've had the same problem but only when trying to open my most recent zoo. Have you been able to reach the main screen (it did take a couple of attempts to reach the main screen)? If so, try a different zoo, or start a new one. Which sucks but at least I was finally able to get the game working again.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I only get the submit issue window, then the game crashes. I can't get even get to the main screen. Any suggestions?

Thanks for adding these pieces, they are incredibly useful. I wonder if I could sneakily suggest that you guys also add some triangular pieces so we can really use the mesh to its fullest potential.

Enable Escapes

Has anyone played a bit around with this function yet?

I guess we are now able to basically make a random shape with the null barrier on a open field add a gate somewhere, and whatever animal is in there can now not leave this area right? Then I believe you should still be able to have a guest path crossing true it without complications.

If this is the case having free roaming peafowls and such in part of you park has just become much simpler to do.

I will test it myself when I got time.
