Particularly since mine have a strange obsession with really corny old musicals.
Tell me about it.Even worse when they harmonize

I think people also think that 'Random / procedural' = no pattern at all, whereas if you look at nature, there are patterns everywhere.as seen in other threads, people raging about tiling patterns when the surfaces are supposed to be procedural, quick factoid... procedural textures and surfaces are always made of tiles. It is how they work
Aww geez I don't knowHey, that's more or less what they've been telling me...
Are you one of my voices?
Right this is true. Perhaps we just need more variables and a better deterrent of same tiles within x proximity of each other. At this point though, it's hard to not see what you've seen. Stupid brains, ruining things for us on instinctI think people also think that 'Random / procedural' = no pattern at all, whereas if you look at nature, there are patterns everywhere.
Not really. 2d noise functions are routinely used to procgen heightmaps, and it's not not tile-based if you apply it to your entire surface.as seen in other threads, people raging about tiling patterns when the surfaces are supposed to be procedural, quick factoid... procedural textures and surfaces are always made of tiles.
