But there is a nice story about the big success of EDO, look at Frontier stock price, Steam reviews, Steam charts, all the major content creators on youtube(not you), and many long-time players on this forum and Reddit posting goodbyes.

If you pay for a product, that comes with certain expectations that the product will be fit for the standard of a finished thing. Over a month later, for a lot of people it's still an unplayable mess. The CMs on todays stream couldn't even finish their mission because it was bugged - which has been in since launch. If you want to call expecting the product to be delivered to an acceptable standard "entitlement", yes it is. I am fine with, as a customer, being entitled. That's part and parcel of the relationship a customer has when making a purchase.
Well I've now listened to the full stream but I heard no elaboration on what happened to the developer stream, why it happened, is it still coming? It was supposed to be happening this week and be a monthly thing IIRC, is the plan now to sweep that under the rug and never talk about it? Or is it just delayed?
It might seem like a small nitpicky thing but we constantly keep getting promises of information that never seems to materialize and honestly it's getting a little bit comical. We still have no idea about this and no clarification was made.
I guess it's possible I just missed it but I did try to listen to everything. If I did I apologise.

I don't understand why the stream could not have happened and then the post made along side it, so we still get the stream, and the message is not diluted.
This is a place for all views cmdr. Why should anyone be stopped from airing their opinions just coz you don't like em.
It makes sense they move it to a forum post. Any utterance, mistaken or not, would be examined and cross examined, here. Even as a forum post, there'll be errors though. Can not wait lol.

Because if there was a stream someone other than the community managers would need to host it and that would allow people to ask questions. FDev wants to throw their community manages under the bus while not actually doing anything. Anyone who still thinks this will be anything more than a "We have top men working on it. Top men!" post telling us that there will be "many upcoming things" is delusional.

Still, if that's all it was it's pretty disappointing. Why was the stream promised in the first place then? It sounds extremely dishonest and a flat out excuse. If the written format is better (I kinda agree) then why are we told to listen to streams for this information?
I understand mistakes happen in communication but at this point it's gone so far I have no other reasonable conclusion to come to but that this is intentionally made difficult and obscure to avoid the questions and give people hope "Sure, next week it will be clear". I will be expecting the developer post to not be written by developers, but also not address anything meaningful. Just more platitudes and word salad.
FDev, you keep telling us things that end up being flat out lies and this is just the latest example. You can try excusing a lie based on "that was a bad idea so we won't do it" only so many times. I'm trying to be civil here but I for one feel like I'm getting punched in the nuts after trying to reasonably talk about simple topics. This is what makes people angry and at some point even the most well intentioned people will punch back.
I guess I will wait until thursday to see what happens but I will be wearing some protection on my crotch.
Waiting for Powerplay to be updated, waiting while the feature is burnt to the ground repeatedly while FD just ignore the problem. This is in addition to about five times where bugs have destroyed months (if not years) of hard work. BGS issues pale in comparison to these howlers.
Its not a matter of 'promise', its actually keeping the things you make in good order- you'd think after six years FD would (after updating the rest of the game) do us the courtesy of actually caring. Three years ago Sandro outlined decent changes that FD sat on. Even leaving out one in particular the rest are just tweaks, the size of one of Odysseys five patches its had in so many weeks.
In Powerplay, the easiest way to win is by joining the power you hate and cheesing them to death from the inside. Each week this sort of thing goes on, and in the worst cases the damage is permanent (i.e. unless FD change Powerplay to what they outlined, that power is saddled with crap expansions).

Yes, an amazing attitude to community retention. Dissatisfied with the state of the game? Not playing until things are fixed? Your presence is no longer needed, your input is not desired to improve things to a state where you would return. Here is the exit, it's a one way system. What could go wrong?

I'd expect planetary tech to feature in the "developer update", which is apparently due tomorrow. It's in post form, which I'll grant you is not what they told us (and I was the first to ask them for clarification on way back on Page 1 of this thread) but they at least provided their justification for that right at the start of today's stream.
As for "communication only once a fortnight", this is very much a strawman from the (somewhat justified) more bitter contingent of the Elite community triggered by some test changes to the stream schedule. Some members of the CM team (hat tip to @sallymorganmoore and @Zac Cocken) have been actively engaging with the community on the forum gathering input and sharing news, and there's been no indication that would be dialled down.
See, this is the bit of the bitter part of the community I take issue with. Emotive words and phrases like these may feel cathartic to you, but they're insulting to the people you aim them at for no good reason and actively get in the way of proper discourse of the very real issues. Finding ways to articulate your feelings without needing to denegrate others will serve you well, both here and in the real world.
