I'm so dumb at doing these mods they will just have to support VR before I will pay for it.U can play star citizen in full vr with a little mod....
VR is coming to SC in the future. With the mod u can emulate it yourself and it has the full helmet hud en body movement already implemented.I'm so dumb at doing these mods they will just have to support VR before I will pay for it.
You can pilot a ship and drive a vehicle in "full 3D VR" and have been able too since 2014, with use of the external camera you can also walk around in " full 3D VR".VR is coming to SC in the future. U are always in full 3D VR piloting ship, walking around, driving vehicles ...something frontier can only dream about.
It is us using vorpx and it seems to work great in sc. and btw i have been playing in vr for years. I agree that native vr is better than modding. You can pilot a ship and drive a vehicle in "full 3D VR" and have been able too since 2014, with use of the external camera you can also walk around in " full 3D VR".
So what is the name of this magical mod you speak of? My guess is you don't know because you have never used VR in SC or ED.
My guess at the name of the "mod" is a program named VorpX. Which is something you have purchase and is crap compared to native VR support.
I purchased and still own a copy of VorpX.
Let's add some colour to make this thread a litte more interesting. It was a headline feature once.

So why did you say that VR is something Frontier can only dream about. Have you never played ED in VR?It is us using vorpx and it seems to work great in sc. and btw i have been playing in vr for years. I agree that native vr is better than modding.
I can't speak for Tom but I wonder if he means you are always in full 3D - VR piloting ship, walking around, driving vehicles, as in it is all seamless because it never leaves the first person camera? So why did you say that VR is something Frontier can only dream about. Have you never played ED in VR?
VorpX is a hack to get the game to run in VR. I can bring up a video of someone reviewing and agreeing that it isn't good really. Objects rendered incorrectly at the wrong distance and size. Bad framerates etc. It's a bit of a hack. In fact I read somewhere that what the streamers show and what they see in the headset are two different things. All to do with how VorpX has to render a second image to create the stereoscopic effect.I can't speak for Tom but I wonder if he means you are always in full 3D - VR piloting ship, walking around, driving vehicles, as in it is all seamless because it never leaves the first person camera?
Compared to ED where, as we all know, there are transitions between all three above-mentioned modes.
For sure! I actually have vorpx. Haven't used it for some serious time though. Got it for my shiny DK2 - that's how long it was. I think I got it for Skyrim??VorpX is a hack to get the game to run in VR. I can bring up a video of someone reviewing and agreeing that it isn't good really. As for always being in 3D, well that is no fun when the game uses forced animations and takes movement control away from the player. It is something that should never be done in VR as it causes motion sickness.
There are always things coming to SC. Like 99 more systems for instance. For sure! I actually have vorpx. Haven't used it for some serious time though. Got it for my shiny DK2 - that's how long it was. I think I got it for Skyrim??
VorpX reminds me of a 3D Vision plus Helix plus barrel vision mod. 3D Vision generating the stereoscopy, using something like depth buffer, helix to fix the graphical issues and then applying the barrel distortion for the lenses. All done by one dude. Impressive stuff IYAM!
Forced animations are the worst. I wouldn't be surprised if they were modded out for SC? Or will be soon.
Still. VorpX is not native. I assumed Tom was talking about VR coming natively to SC
I play elite in vr since horizons and its epic. But sadly we will never have any kind of onfoot vr that sc will have.So why did you say that VR is something Frontier can only dream about. Have you never played ED in VR?
Why not?I play elite in vr since horizons and its epic. But sadly we will never have any kind of onfoot vr that sc will have.
So the "you can fly and drive FD can only dream of it!" actually means "its native and way better in ED, and for FPS you have to use a mediocre hack in both games".It is us using vorpx and it seems to work great in sc. and btw i have been playing in vr for years. I agree that native vr is better than modding.
yup the thing is SC players know that in order for their game ever to be completed other people have to pay for it.So the "you can fly and drive FD can only dream of it!" actually means "its native and way better in ED, and for FPS you have to use a mediocre hack in both games".
Oh, CIG promised VR in 2014 and then removed it from the roadmap.
This blatant deceitful SC shilling is getting pretty obnoxious...
Why do yo feel that you have to say that? What do you get out of it? You moaned enough about shadows on console. Do you mean 'I don't agree with this person; silence him... Cancel him...'?Made for locking.
That's what this thread is advertising right now,
Yes, I was looking at that. VorpX I believe.U can play star citizen in full vr with a little mod....
Paid Premium Beta in 2014. Got an update that I can't use on the 'Made For Vr From The Ground Up' declaration in.. 2014.That's Old News
New News: They altered the deal.
So you can play Horizons in VR and skip buying EDO
