No, changing the matrix leads to changing all the colors, there is no other way to do itHi there,
I use this config posted in OP post:
But is there a way to have the same colors but with correct ally/ennemy coloring ?

I have exactly the same problem. Did you already find a solution?Do we know if a fix is possible for the colours in Odyssey without installing that mod?
I followed this and the colours are still broken but I can't understand why, as its only reds that are now displaying as yellow.

My UI now in Odyssey with the SAME graphics config settings:

The blue is less vibrant, and for some reason what was originally red on my hud is now showing as yellow, but it's the exact same graphics config copied from the first page of this post.
Kind of, I just used different colour schemes until I found one I liked and that didn't display all weirdI have exactly the same problem. Did you already find a solution?
Is there a different location to plug in the XML color modification than the Graphicsconfig file in the products folder within the Odyssey application?
How are the in station faces? My "Mocha" combination is still working fine in Oddity - allowing for the general dimness in that of course - not moved anything, GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml file still the same and in the same place.
How are the in station faces?
Excellent! Thanks!In the menus:

I have not "tuned" the gamma / brightness to my satisfaction in Oddity yet - new monitor, just getting the hang of it.

Well, I wouldn't doubt it, Odyssey is pretty much breaking everything else...Apologies if that has already been discussed but am I right in thinking that HUD colour modification is having wider negative implications in Odyssey than it was in Horizons. I'm noticing some pretty awful colouration of things like my own 2D avatar image in various places. I'm assuming that's down to my modified HUD colours and I was gonna switch to "Spiritual Teal" to see if that improved matters.
Thank you for maintaining this Thread Terry. I think you are right to wait to update it until the console do-over of the graphics system.Wow, it's been a while since I checked this thread and it's up to 20 pages now! Really appreciate everyone's input so far, and apologies to anyone who's posted a config in the last... er, few years, since I last updated the OP.
Speaking of which, as a few of you have mentioned, Odyssey has come and, well, it doesn't play too nicely with the colour transformations in a lot of places. So, it's probably a good idea to decide what to do going forward. A few thoughts:
- We could update this thread to show how nicely the configs work with Odyssey, or start another thread
- Some of the updates from Odyssey will fold into Horizons at console launch (September?) so maybe it's best to wait until then before doing anything
- There's some (still officially unconfirmed, hello CMs if you're reading this, please!) strangeness going on with rendering/gamma that's causing the HUD brightness/contrast to look very washed out and dull***
- The EDHM (ED HUD Mod) now exists, though not yet compatible with Odyssey, which arguably solves all the goals and issues that this thread was aiming to work around
So, what do you guys think? Personally I really want to see the HUD/general gamma sorted*** before taking any Odyssey screenshots. I'm looking forward to trying EDHM when the Odyssey version drops, but I appreciate not everyone wants to modify shaders, or use third party mods. And, of course, many CMDRs will be sticking to Horizons.
*** I posted this in the thread about rendering, but just for illustration sake, this is how badly the HUD appears now:

Default Gamma, 100% Brightness
Top: End of alpha
Middle: Odyssey release
Bottom: Odyssey Update 5
I like this. I mostly use this hack just to reduce the bloom on the text, keeping the colours as close to the defaults as possible. This is the first one in a long time that's made me consider a more radical change.Call it Crème de la crème.
