State of the Game

Well, lighting will get yet another mention

The short term stuff will be the settlement guns

No Powerplay

Future will be what ships have new seats (which will be the Asp Explorer, Alliance ships while leaving out the Fed Ships)

Optimisation

New lighting in concourses
Lighting was number 1

I wonder if there will be anything new in the top 20 yet or if we'll have to wait another month to see what was added made the cut floated up post Update 7.

sEE YOU NEXT MONTh :D
I think you missed an opportunity to (TM) this phrase.

@ Lysette
It's all good o7. I enjoyed a lot of the planet side stuff (and ship interiors /shhhh) in Star Wars Galaxies even after SOE's "Combat Upgrade" which sounds similar to your ranching and culinary efforts in NMS and played that game right to the server shutdowns so i know where you're coming from on that type of play. I played the X series for a while as well (but that felt more like space fleet manager simulator than a full on space flight sim) plus a lot of us and certainly me, play ED today because it was, in its early forms, one of the first games we got into as young gamers. Nostalgia is a heck of a drug.

Guess I should have used an RTS game as an example lol I suspect you're not a Napoleanic era general are you sister Lysette? 😉
Field of glory - microprose - 1993 - I played it 10 years later though - so I played waterloo and the other battles before it - you didn't expect that, did you?

with farming, ranching, terraforming in a game I came in contact 17 years ago, in a game called Wurm online - it still exists and is still pretty crappy on the graphical side. But the game play was good, on procedurally generated land of 16 sqkm starting with just a building tool, conquering the land, settle, farm - living of the land there - was awesome even graphics were not up to par, but it was all terraformable, one could plant crops, trees whatever, hunt deer and so. I like that a lot and a bit of it I can find in NMS as well.

At least @Rat Catcher made me realize that the best thing for me to be happy again is to uninstall ED and get rid of the permanent frustration this game gave me. I'm quite thankful for that, he might not have intended that, but his clear words made me realize that.
The obvious thing is that I hope you come back again after a break, and one the 'smell' has gone from Odyssey... But the conversations we had leading up to your quitting ED were pretty good!

It's the definition of stress: The mind overriding the body's desire to choke the living stuffing out of some ARX whole who desperately needs it.

Sometimes we're as blind as fairy tale mice when we can't see the elephant staring us right in the face.

Glad you got it sorted. Playing what is fun is ALWAYS better.

it is not Odyssey what bother me, but that there is not much to play for me, what I deem to be fun - in NMS I have what I want, why would I want to return to ED? Nothing will change there, the game is written off by FDev already, there will be no significant progress and if, other games will have had even more of that and so there is no reason to ever return.
