Well @random goat it seems the list is about to change majorly tomorrow
I also expect 5 new animals in the top 10.
Even if the top is taken off it’s still only losing 7 animals max. So no need to make a new one just yet.
I want to be incredibly pedantic for a second: we could lose 8 animals if the alligator snapping turtle gets thrown into the exhibit box.

But on the other hand, the top 5 NA animal share ~400 votes between them. I'd imagine the list would change majorly with 400 votes to go around.
I was just thinking that myself. The votes and lists would dramatically change. But balance that by someone who has voluntarily opted to undertake this project, tabulate numbers and update lists. I absolutely appreciate what @random goat has done with both this and the first list, and know it's definitely something of interest, but it's still work. The intent seems to be there to do another list in the future, after 2 packs, but I wouldn't want them to feel like they were being forced to do one after this.
But I do agree, votes and lists would definitely change. It's quite possible half the top 10 is taken out as opposed to just 2 of the top 3 and 2 other animals down the list, like last time.
Oh definitely @random goat is the GOAT, and his job is amazing.
I speak from a completely utilatarian position, and it's completely up to the person who maintains the list.
My prediction:
Had a new list been started, I'd expect European and Desert animals to rise to the top, because people would give them more thought as the "empty" niches.
In a similar way, I think the NA animals have been articially boosted in the votes due to being expected as an empty niche that has yet to recieve a dlc.

I would also expect alpine animals, as i doubt that we will get a lot of them this pack besides the mountain lion and its arguable next to desert the biome with the least animals dedicated to it.
+ we dont even have an Ibex or Takin, expect those, especally the Ibex, to gain some extra foodhold
