The quest was nobbled by mandatory timers (which i assume remain - I got mine started when the patch dropped) which stretched 'progress' that could be done in literally a few hours. A little while later a 'cheat' was mentioned on the steam community page which involved changing the day on PC...
I've visited a few very attractive (not-cartoonish) bodies in NMS, the good ones can be really good - now we can summon the 'vehicles' with minimum effort, undersea exploration is much easier, and a lot of fun, too.
yeah I am very fond of frozen planets, they look pretty normal - they have quite a variety as well, some are more hilly, some are more mountainous, some have a pretty brittle surface and you can find an enormous amount of caves under the surface - I really like these diverse landscapes. Irradiated and barren planet types are my next favorite ones.
As far as the exocrafts go, that mech is a pain to use - and it got me in trouble many times, getting sentinels on my back - in 1st person that mech is a real pain to maneuver. But I like hiking in real life and so I explore mainly on foot. I have 3 s-class protection upgrades for any environment, so being mainly on foot is no problem at all.
btw I'm not using any cheats or exploits - like I would never sell chlorine and buy it back immediately at a lower price - that would be exploiting a flaw in the economic system,
My s-class explorer is pretty nimble as well - no huge attachments like that you showed off - silver colored and a bit like an insect from it's looks, very maneuverable and fast, nearly 1000lys jump range, I really like it, even my exotics would be much better - but in a way those exotics are overpowered, I stick with my explorer - well, it is crap in fights, there I take my exotics.
