CG predictions...

Use this way to kill off the trade w*nkers CG using effng FC w*nkers.

Just found a great way of doing double data runs by accident.

Get to Jamesons crash site, fill up on G5 data (unfortunately you do have to continuously relog until full).
Boost into surface to die, voila, you spawn in Shaara Gateway immediately (as long as you last docked there).
You keep all data mats when you die, so just trade it for other data at the trader (without spending 1/2 hour handing it in), then zip off to Jamesons crash site again and fill up on the same G5 mats for a second time.
Boost again into surface to die, immediate return to Shaara then hand in all data. Take a break. repeat when brain has recovered.
I got 18,000 data with this one double trip.

I'm even doing this in my little sidey now, for minimal rebuy cost when you suicide at Jamesons crash site!!!!

Wrong topic, but I see you spammed all the current CG topics.
Someone is backing Orion !! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Cargo is puling way:

From the hourly contributions Data support seems to have collapsed:

Cargo looks 'normal' to me (Sunday is usually the biggest day IIRC. It's rare that support for one side drops off like Data has - normally we see even obvious losers keep trying to the end. Data hasn't even reached T3 yet - I would have maybe thought support would drop off once it becomes clear they T4 is out of reach, but it's certainly worth them making sure they hit T3 🤔

If you compare the Inara estimates, the data CG is relying much more heavily on the efforts of its top 10%, which may be where the boredom factor starts to hit?

A complete hand-in (and down-trade but not cross-trade) of previously full data banks would give 45,000 points towards the CG. But once you've done that, it's then quite a while to refill them even if you do want to continue. Progress after the first 2 days seems a lot more erratic than the relatively smooth hourly shifts on the trade CG, so it's possible that what we're seeing is a bunch of the data CG's busy commanders reloading - and then their next hand-in rounds will push it back up.

Lead for the hauliers is approaching 4% now (well, 3.77), which in the context of these CGs so far is a lot. I wonder at what point it becomes unassailable...
Converting and rescaling the data CG is now 1.8 million units behind.

That's about 35 extra "top 10%" contributors, which isn't that many people in theory but might be difficult to achieve in practice. since it'd probably imply another corresponding "bottom 90%" contributors, which would effectively require equalising the participant numbers.

I suspect it's in practice now unassailable unless some additional information comes out and causes defections to the Orion U side.

Yes, sign-up with no contribution is entirely ignored. I sign up to all the bubble CGs just to keep an eye on them.

(Way back, it used to count as a participant, which made it virtually impossible to end outside the top 50% if you actually did anything)

To sign up to the other side CG with no actions, is it a help or a block? Or doesnt matter?
Doesn't matter - absolute numbers of contributions do.
But I don't think you can - last time I checked, I got a little lock on the data CG in the Mission Board. Seems like after some threshold has been reached (either you personally or the CG as a whole), you're blocked from doing both.

Just throwing down my shower thoughts on what the outcomes of this one'll be:

Orion U win: Scriveners refuse to back down and either scuttle the megaship, or suffer a catastrophic system failure as a result of not being able to scavenge. Either way, all hands lost and no-one gets access to the Knowledge Core.

Traders win: Megaship jumps to location unknown, but before they go, by way of thanks the Scriveners broadcast an excerpt of the Knowledge Core's contents (ideally encrypted, for the community to work out). Eventually revealed down the line that the Core contains information of some lore significance (pointer to Salvation's origins, maybe? But nothing to do with Raxxla!).

CRIME WAVE RAISES SECURITY CONCERNS

An expert larcenist known as the Winking Cat has triggered widespread alarm with a spree of high-profile thefts.
Vox Galactica published this feature by crime correspondent Mira Bukowski :
“Last month, the galaxy’s most infamous thief reappeared in the headlines after a long absence. It appears the Winking Cat is making up for lost time by stealing multiple items in quick succession.”
“One notable target was a portrait of Emperor Olban Hensard Duval, the tenth ruler of the Empire. Painted in 2989, it was notable for being seven metres high - as was the graphic of a smirking feline face engraved on the wall where it once hung.”
“Another disappearance, albeit of a less artistic nature, was the only working prototype of Achilles Corporation’s XS1001 security robot. This was being guarded by several XS801 models which, according to insiders, were found lying on their sides and emitting an unusual ‘purring’ sound.”
“There are reports of several other rare or precious artefacts disappearing from secure locations. In all cases, there are no clues as to how security systems were circumvented.”
“The Wallglass Investigations Agency has theorised that the Winking Cat may not be an individual after all, but a group of criminal specialists working together. They also suspect that these latest thefts may be intended for some larger purpose.”

What I am affraid of with the data CG is this outcome : Orion uses the enormous amount of data to circumvent the scriveners security and remotely take it over, hence managing to seize the data core nd all it's contents. That data is NOT given to the scriveners, but directly to Orion University.

The security robots would be a nice addition to ground missions in EDO ! New content already comming ?

I'm just waiting for a rash of John Connors to turn up dead now.

Robotic cockpit cats confirmed! :D

Looks like this week is over. Quite surprised the Data CG seemed to give up before reaching T3, unless they were very confident they would make it (as they have now). Inara thinks the Data CG will complete with less than the Cargo one has now.

Was thinking of collecting Bonds for next week's conflict, but not sure I want to support either side 🤔
