To Solo Play Players: If You Could Disable PVP, Would You Play in Open Play Mode Instead?

The problem is that idea of PvP turn off button is that all the traders will probably turn it off therefore heavily impacting PvP piracy which is part of the game. The pvpers flying around in their combat ships won't exactly be carrying cargo.
PvP piracy is only part of the game if player pirates encounter encounter player targets - there's no requirement for player targets to play among other players or to play along with the gameplay that the pirate tries to force them to engage in.

You could say that about any game, there will always be a losing side.
Not all games give each player the option as to how few players to play among, i.e. none, the members of a particular Private Group, the population of Open.

Even in Open particular players can be excised from ones gameplay using the block feature.

Piracy is already impacted by people clogging, this consent button would be the nail in the coffin

Players don't owe any other play "fun" - and as pirates don't seem to care whether their targets have fun, their targets are under no obligation to provide fun for the pirates....
Theres no way to tell how my target is feeling unless I ask, even still I'm out for my fun like everyone else, as I said there will always be a losing side in any game.

Yes that is true there is no way of telling, situational awareness in high traffic systems is a good idea.
Problem for pirate is that you will need some co-operation of your victim, at least victim should stay put long enough for hatchbreakers to work out. But as victim likely identifies you as ganker there are basically three possibilities. Couple of seconds it takes to yank out network cable, or kill game from task manager, thats the prohibited clogging. 15 seconds timer for menu log, thats allowed by the rules. Or how ever long it takes to run up high jump. Fourth one is that your target is not going to log either by forbidden or allowed method and you manage fry FSD preventing escape.

I basically usually run that high jump option. I can boost quite hard, and bringing down class 8 boosted prismatic is not an easiest thing to do. After that there is still engineered armour various booster modules.
