I have been messing with my newly acquired HOTAS and as expected it needs a lot of getting used to. One issue that i am finding particullarly difficult to get used to, is that i need to guess where the "0" is for the throttle. I was told that i'd get used to it, but now, after a few days i feel that this is not ideal.
At first i thought that i just needed an intend at the center of the throttle travel, but after some thought i realised that i only go backwards when i try to land and overshoot the spot. So what i really need, is for the "0" throttle to be at the 25% indent that already exists on the throttle. (ideally and just taking this even further, maybe a hypper jump trigger when it reaches the 75% indent!?)
Anyway. i have had a look at the game controller properties and it looks like i cant move the middle of the axis.
But i noticed in the logitech software that i can change the throttle to bands instda of axis (if i am reading this right...). Could this be used for that?
I am really new to all of this, so now i am asking you for advice. Would there be any way to customise this?
