To Solo Play Players: If You Could Disable PVP, Would You Play in Open Play Mode Instead?

well,I'm playing alone, but I fly in the open because I'm not embarrassed by the possibility of being destroyed, but it's unpleasant if I'm not on a warship at this moment, but this is a living world where you have to be ready for everything.
About mechanics, there should be a system to protect the player from the security service, for example, during an interception, i.e. when you start to be intercepted, you already call strong NPC ships (this is for example)
why not peek how it works in other games, for example Eva, as far as I know it's difficult to gang people in systems there.
I am neutral about pvp in the elite, and I believe that it should be meaningful, and the punishment is much stricter, for example, the real time that you will spend in prison for an hour when you die, but in the elite you can accidentally get wanted, so I said that it is necessary to rework some game mechanics, and the possibilities of interaction between players need to be expanded, the names of particularly dangerous criminals should be in the same galnet and their last location, the elite lacks informativeness, you can talk about it for hours, but I want to hear the developers' answer whether they will do something or not, otherwise it's all empty chatter
p.s. I apologize for the crooked text, everything is through a translator

PvP deaths acting just as a system exile for 12 hours would be great to me. Let’s BGS be affected but isn’t crippling to player earnings.

You are unlikely to get any meaningful response from Frontier on this subject.

And if there is ONE thing I have learned from all my time in online games, is that is a MINORITY that is craving PvP, as the most players, prefers to do their thing, or co-operate with other players.

I suggest that you look up the interesting story behind Amazons game, New World, it was developed to be a full loot PvP game, because that is what vocal players in the forums etc wanted to have. And once the first closed Alpha came out, it became obvious, that this was NOT something the majority of players wanted. So there was several issues stacked ontop of eachother, but the bottom line was, Amazon had to go back redesign several core aspects of the game, to add PvE stuff to the game. And due to them sticking to a few PvP core features, they caused themselves ALOT of extra problems with having to many players, and to few servers, to having to few players, and to many servers. so I do recommend to look this up, as many of the mistakes made there, can be a lesson how to NOT do it in other MMO games, like Elite Dangerous.

The problem, with saying stuff like meaningful PvP, is that it is for the most part a contradiction, becuase what you, me, or anytone else, might think would be meaningful PvP, would be a total waste of time for someone else, and do not forget, the majority of players, are NOT interested in PvP in the first place, so how could PvP ever become meaningful to those players?

And do not forget, an often repeated argument from gankers, is that the AI is to boring, and yet, what players do they most often target? players that are pretty clueless about PvP and thus very easy targets, way easier than the AI ships... What is the real challenge in doing long range sniping on players trying to land at an Engineer base?

Of course, we could have a better Crime and Punishment system, we could have a more segmented galaxy, where things like Security level of a system meant something, but we have been waiting for years for Frontier todo anything to improve on this, and the last time, Frontier made changes to this, they made it WORSE.

Exactly lol, they find PvE boring because of their G5 ships so they go after even more boring targets. 😆

Well, it's a shame the team can't give the players an answer to the game, which means their interaction with the community. The new world is a trash heap that collapsed back in the beta version, where the developers checked how the skin store would work. As for pvp, I am not saying that pvp in the elite is something that everyone needs to do, I don’t do pvp at all, and I don’t support the topic of griffers. The NPCs of the security forces will not save you, they will kill you faster, especially than clouds in general, and the fact that they do not destroy a criminal is 100% understandable .. I probably watched videos on YouTube as two cutters spit at each other for about 15 minutes, this is sad crap , and I don’t understand that it’s funny, seriously, the game doesn’t give massive battles, unfortunately, there is no mechanics of clan wars in the game, but this is not a player, here the player once deserved it himself and once did it by ownership. These disputes have been going on for years, but it was launched about this or some plans for changes, I don't know, maybe they just don't play, the game does not allow these changes to be implemented, and we do not have a game of the mechanics of clan wars, but this don't chase, here is the player, since he himself did it in his own way. These disputes have been going on for years, but tasks were set in this regard or some plans for changes, I don’t know, maybe they simply do not allow implementing these changes..

Well, it's a pity that the development team can't give the players an answer about the game, ...
They have, repeatedly. It's been clearly stated many times that ED is designed with different play modes controlling instancing and a single shared galaxy. The devs have recommended use of block to deal with griefers. Block has been gradually strengthened by the removal of edge cases in several updates.

All this is well known, it's just that some players don't like it.

Most of us work within this framework to get the gameplay we want. If anyone can't do so and they find it all completely unacceptable, they'd do better to find a more amenable game.

Heh got at Saturday my first ever fight against NPC Fed Corvette. It deteriated to kind of brutal smashing. Lots of ramming each other and so on. Untill I won with KO. No finesse at all from my part. I'm pretty hamfisted pilot when it comes to combat. One of the reason I suck in PVP.

Wow, 38 posts under the hood and of course amonge these few you had to come here and imply that others are embarrassed by being destroyed. That's the stuff that goes directly to the ignore list.

well, once it was possible to give, I am specifically in this topic, or a fixed post so that the players would not have any questions. What kind of blocking are you talking about?

OK, maybe start here.

it's so stupid) why come up with a game way when you can just let the players go into invisibility by block))))
It's a fundamental aspect of the game design: other players are optional in this game, by design - whether playing in Solo (with no other players), Private Groups (with selected other players) or in Open (where particular players can be excised using the block feature).

The single shared galaxy, on the other hand, is something that all players experience and affect, regardless of game mode.

everything flows, everything changes, some things are worth rethinking, I've played for more than 2k hours and the most interesting content is where I met other pilots
