Did a tsunami warning go out for north Island?
We've got tsunami warnings for the eastern coast here today.

Although we only live 15 minutes walk from a bay here we're up on a ridge line... if a tsunami got up to us it would mean the whole of the eastern seaboard has been wiped out.

Obviously mother nature is punishing us for our treatment of Novak..... also have a nice day.

Some boats in Northland got banged up from the combo of cyclone Cody swells and the tsunami waves. +2 m on normal tide height.

My wife and her family come from the east coast north island. (I'm Or-Stray-Lee-Anne by birth). A lot of her whanau still live in that region. I wonder what they're getting.

I'm sure I'll hear about it soon enough..........
Was looking at properties up the East Coast a little while ago. Beautiful area, but yeah wouldn’t want to live on the coast for many reasons.

within walking distance, sure!
