Not sure what to make of the revised Midnight Black paints to be honest.

They're matte now, so that's progress... but they're more grey than black... it really depends on the light conditions as well - having said that my car is black and it doesn't turn grey if I point a flashlight at it so... 🤷‍♂️

I have a feeling the issue is related to how light sources and different environments (space, station interior, planetside) affect the ship - I noticed this particularly with the Chromed/Golden skins, they can look lovely reflective in some situations, but in others just look like a drab grey/mustard.
 
In Odyssey, however, you can only collect one cargo/material via the SRV scoop before having to relog. You also can't transfer the lone prize to your ship; you actually have to board your SRV back onto the ship! Special...

Well, thank you for letting me know a relog will fix it 😹 I gave up last night after my 3rd chunk of selenium exploded 🙀 Don't really want to do any gathering in earnest, but at least I know that it can be done, in an emergency.
 
it's painful enough having to relog to do the guardian stuff anyway, but collecting 1 item of cargo/mats makes it a little too onerous just now so i'll play something else meanwhile until i know this is fixed.

Just wanted to say that combined with geforce experience optimisations and the new Patch....sheesh!!
Was getting 30 to 40 fps in vr now getting 60 or so.

Thats a good shout, didn't think of checking that, had resinstalled my PC a few months ago. Interesting Before and After settings, definitely looks like a win, some higher than I had before too.

Thank FDev for the ongoing bug fixes and your continued support.

Reading all these negative (and sometimes positive) comments, made me think of what I would do if you stopped support for this truly immense game.
What on earth would I do with my spare time?
Without ED, I would have to go back to playing small, limited and mostly linear games, some of which you play the complete story line through in 80 hours!
OK, some are open-ish like the Witcher and (dare I mention it) Skyrim, etc, but mostly they follow a linear story.

IIRC you had to ride around on a horse or actually run, to next settlements in REAL TIME btw, before you could fast travel there next time!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How utterly boring after playing ED (5000+ hours so far) - you start up ED and are immediately immersed in the same instance you left.
I don't ever boot up those old (some not so old) games now, I just cant wait to get home sometimes from work, to see latest news or CG progress, etc etc..

Hope you all enjoy the ride as much as me while it lasts!
Hopefully another iteration of ED will be out in 5-10 years, not just stop dead or discontinued (heaven forbid).
 
Soooo... when will our 3 NPC crew be allowed out of the cargo hold/space stations and sit with us on the cockpit to fill those sad empty chairs?

SRV is only able to pick up one item, and unable to transfer that to the ship, so have to board then deploy to transfer any cargo.

ground combat zones seem to be bugged.
just finished a high one and came home with a whopping 336.000 cr
usually i make around 10mil in those.
and i couldn´t activate the "take me home" frontline shuttle, had to call an apex

ok, did another (different) one and this time everything worked as it should.
will try the first again, maybe it´s the settlement

In general, the patch works fine, thank you!. I was pleased with the quick opening of the system map. Textures began to load more smoothly when landing on planets and working with the camera. I haven't noticed the hanging stones yet. Unfortunately, I cannot say what is happening at the stations and in the bubble, I am far away from them. I was upset by a bug with the inability to load more than one material into the SRV. Maybe I'm picky, but when landing on planets, large clear squares of textures are still visible. I want to believe that this can be fixed.
 
Any word from anyone on hotfixes for the game breaking bugs introduced with the update?

I'm aware of one big issue, unable to buy limpets was hotfixed. The other somewhat big one is to do with SRVs being unable to collect stuff. As far as i'm aware, no mention of a fix for that one yet.

Are there any game breaking bugs? I've been actively playing since it dropped and not had any. Or you mean major bugs? Not that i've had any of those either. Having said that, i've only been doing Odyssey missions.
 
Can the OP or Moderator please update the first post with all official validated/recognized/confirmed issues after Update 10 (I see some are edited, guess there are more)?

It's very difficult to track down everything by following this thread.
Ie. if SRVs can't pick up materials any more, fine, just put a note there so we know what to avoid in-game, until the fix arrives.

Your SRV can't pickup 5h17 and this is what bothers you?
Remember there are nearly as many ways to play Elite as there are players so some of even the oldest bugs don‘t affect all of us.
I haven’t hit the SRV scooping bug yet myself because while I am using the SRV I rarely see anything to scoop with what I am doing currently, likewise although I have done a lot of combat the hostile ship bug didn’t actually touch me as I haven’t been shooting at stuff for a much longer time than the now fixed bug was around.

More Matt black than midnight black now, but at least not brownish any more.

Ground Combat Zones, (at night included) now dont go below low 40s running with the GeForce Experience recommended settings, before I was getting mid-30s in busy Combat Zone scenes
 
You need to differentiate between content that was planned at release and content that was planned to be added later.

Otherwise all games who get new features are in permanent alpha.

But yes, the initial release was beta and maybe still is.
It matters not whether folks perceive EDO as an Alpha Beta bla bla, what it is warts and all is simply the best game of its type in existence.
I log into SC every couple of weeks just to remind myself how good it is compared to summit with 420ish million lobbed down the toilet.
Hell we paid £100mil for Jack Grealish and at least we can play him (CTID).

Its far from Doom.

It wasn't broken. I unlocked her not long ago.
Last I heard doesn't the game track the amount of covert theft properly. I have completed over 10 covert theft runs, but she only requires 6 to be unlocked. Covert heists are registered correctly, but I can't do those successfully. One person said they did 20 covert theft before she unlocked.
