Hmm, there still remain few hours to keep promise about time for next development update release. But considering increasing amount of silence, which was only partly covered/hidden by christmas holidays, it looks like further disapointment. I hope that I'm mistaken with that, but there are now sadly not much reasons for more optimism.
It's 5:30 pm in the UK so it's incredibly unlikely Arf has found his login details much less his update blog.
They promise on the last stream that FC would be EARLY 22, very early... I promise (their words).
So, early for them is very different from early to the common sense.
So... SOON = February or even March.
They can't fulfill many things they promise. Could be a reason to avoid streams in general.
A guy here once told me: Don't have expectations. Never do that because you'll be frustrated.
He was right, and it's sad. This game has a surreal potential.

I really do get the sense that something has gone wrong. For the most part, I've been largely unaffected apart from performance issues that seem to either get better or worse with each update. I was looking forward to fleet carrier interiors in January, but that hasn't happened. I have to imagine that COVID is impacting a lot of this as the UK seems to have been hit harder with lock downs and whatnot. It's a sad situation. Ever since Odyssey launched it seems they've been doing nothing but damage control and fixing....so "news" seems to be on the list after "fixes."So the news is that there is no news?
Yes, when there wasn’t the other games of this company which are working as intended, with streams etc. It’s feels really strange at the moment, therefore sally was mentioning, that Zac and Bruce under full power to form the New Years greetings and updates. Till now nothing, only witness that the other gameteams working normal.
The optimist in me hopes that the delayed dev update and update in general for January is because they're working on some big news and making preparations to release it all. The cynic in me tells me to stop being an idiot.

There currently isn't any new information to share in terms of Odyssey on consoles. We hear you, as soon as we do have something worth sharing with you, we will. At the moment, work is focused on PC optimisation.
Now just transfer that to all of Elite Dangerous and we all have the same feeling.

Yeah, and that's really what saddens me. All their other titles are zipping along with full dev and CM engagement, streams, Dev posts, all of it. And then you have us here in Elite with the world on fire and poor Sally running about with a garden hose. It's just sad. She's been brilliant, but one woman isn't going to fix this. It smacks of major miscommunication and people left in the lurch, having to hold the party line. I feel for them. I really do.
Yes and that is currently a very strange behavior, my goodwill is hoping that they will come back with a Big Bang (hopefully to announce that they have the masterplan to solve the issues on EDO and brings some bits of console clearification) but my realistic though ist that they didn’t even know what is going on. And that sally is the only one of the cms brings me to the question why she isn’t in the meantime lead community manager. So then, let the time pass by. As an console player I’ve been in the meantime very well trained
