State of the Game

Happy monday dear bretheren and sisteren of the brebus! the blizzard of '22 has passed and the Colonia bridge FSD's have arrived! We got about 20 inches of snow total and the roads were closed Saturday afternoon into Sunday but no power loss or real damage here thankfully. @Brother Nemo I'll be up Vermont way next weekend. one of my roommates from grad school having some of us up for the weekend in quechee may make a trip to south royalton and visit the alma mater. should be a good weekend.

Game update continued console support check: Still running on xbox as of last night! Participated in the cg rush in reorte but missed 50% by a couple runs unfortunately (I'd be curious to see how much of the bonds turned in were from the "nonexistent" ground combat lol).
Safe travels Brother Horse...

listen. Occlusion culling is advanced ...extremely complicated and impossible to ever get right. made even more impossible by odyssey's one way light reactive glass that looks opaque in specific scenarios. And sure.. you could say that the one way glass is coincidental and that the engine is rendering that stuff on the other side anyway and you'd be right. But where's the challenge in doing things the way others have done them? With elite, the developers have blazed their own trail in how to render a scene. That's the elite way.

hah. dude who created wordle just sold it for 7 figures. That's some good return on investment. not sure why the new york times had to have it that bad...maybe they think subscribers will stay subscribers for an embedded version rather than crosswords?

That is a blast shutter on an outside facing window. The scene reflected in it is no where near the window (it's on the other side of the settlement), and doesn't look like that because it's lit in the 'reflection', but had already turned off the power to the settlement.

It's kinda like this:

awesome. fdev did mention they are dealing with quantum bugs ...perhaps they've entangled the surface of the blast shutter with another blast shutter found around the scene you were seeing - perhaps in a parallel superstate of having power and not having power.
