From my favorite game, to completely unplayable - from whale to guppy.

I absolutely guarantee that I will never buy a Frontier product again, ever. You have every illness that modern gaming suffers from.

In the last few weeks the only enjoyment I get from launching ED is betting how long it takes to get an error.

Odyssey? Nah. Nevermind.

Elite Deadly, or whatever you call the follow-up game? No way.

...not one more dime from me.

Game is unplayable. Hard connection, Mauve Adder, can't play it for more than six minutes a pop.

...still probably counts as a rant though.


Should I post my total Time-In-Game? Do I have to blow you guys up a bunch of times? I know how to fly.

Could be something local at your end (either networking or something thermal)
I have absolutely no issues to play ED on my XB1s

I've absolutely no problems wotsoever running elite oddity for hours at a time daily in VR.
My guess is its network related perhaps not your end but fdevs. The game itself is stable, has been since patch 6

Well, yea - but this is about ED on XB - there could be certain issues that would not affect a PC player - like XB specific problems (auth issues between MS and FDev or networking issues inside XB Live)

Elite is disjointed.
The fps on foot shooter aspect has absolutely no lore, or frankly, any business being in elite in its current form. Yet here it is. I've ranted about it since it dropped.
But for oddity to go console, it has to be stable. And not disjointed. Somehow they have to bridge the 2 games together. Perhaps basebuilding or owning assets etc would make some inroads.
What would have connected the 2 is exploration. IF they'd dropped huge exploratory new content instead of what we got... different story.
So much is broken and missing.
These must be addressed long term. No roadmap means we cannot even guess where fdev are going.
Meantime it's food for arx and placating the folks that play.
But in short, for console release I reckon their close. Real close.

Actually, in my zone and on PS4 its been my experience that I get the muave adder, scarlet krait (etc) on weekends. Usually Sunday.
So the problem is obvious and the solution is simple for me, I don’t play on Sundays.
Its intensely aggravating, indeed. To avoid it, I avoid playing on those days. Better for our mental health rather that raising a stink.

That’s on your end. If every player on Xbox got disconnected every six minutes, I’m sure FDev would probably look into it. Since they’re not…well…

I haven’t been disconnected in over three weeks.

It’s defo on frontiers end. I get allll the errors pending on when the last time FDev released an update was. Scarlet krait, mauve adder, orange sidewinder, purple cobra or w/e- I could go on forever baby.

Little mo with the gimpy leg.

My settings are correct, I haven’t had to mess with them at any point in my time playing since GPP. It’s Frontier. Frontier. Hot garbo since 1.3
