That took me by surprise, so I loaded up FFE to see. You can use the autopilot for combat. Why you'd want to escapes me, thoughYou can't use the Autopilot for combat in FFE. It was Frontier where you could do that.

You are using the mouse for combat, not the keys, right?

Sorry, it was GLFFE that I loadedHmm, maybe it's a GLFFE thing then.
It may well depend on the agility of your ship. Perhaps Frontier didn't take that into account.I found that the autopilot was useless for combat.
The only way to change the spawn ships once you're in the system is to reload to a save before you entered the system and jump there again.
That's because we aren't dealing with spawns here.
.
Yes.Perhaps we're just misunderstanding.
"Spawning" refers to the computer generating game objects, in this case other ships. When you hyperspace to a new system, the computer spawns all the ships for the galaxy. As i see it, that's a "spawn". A "Respawn" could be forced by entering the galaxy afresh.
Is it normal that the radar mapper sometimes doesn't report what the targetted ship is?![]()
Aaarh! Thargoids! Run!
I wouldn't run. Especially in space. I'd flyAaarh! Thargoids! Run!
One could argue that moving through space is not flying any more than swimming underwater is.I wouldn't run. Especially in space. I'd fly![]()
