A journey, which started a month and a half ago, Dec 18, 2021, to be precise, is finally over and the return trip can be planned now. I have made it to Beagle Point and to Ishum's Reach beyond.

Arrival date: 6 Feb., 3308
Commander: sirpuma (Sir Puma)
Ship Type: Asp Explorer
Ship Name: Golden Hind
Jump Range (loaded max): 66.08LY

Here is my Travel map. I started out from Shinrarta Dezra (Jameson Memorial) on the 18th of December and headed for the Formidine Rift. I explored the points of interest out there and a few nebulae, stopped by the abandoned mega ship, then headed east across the disk hoping to trek around the outer rim. But Then I came down with the Rona and took a few weeks off. When I got back to it I decided to head straight across the disk to Beagle Point but got distracted around the core looking for undiscovered Black Holes and Wolf Rayet stars. Once I got them, I stopped at Explorer's Anchorage for repairs and then headed north. Got a little ways up and managed a nasty belly flop on a planet and had to return to E.A. for repairs, then started off again. Finally reaching my destinations today. I'm sorry, I didn't plan this, but my travel map looks like the Little Cesar's Pizza Pizza guy.

Under four hours. This is almost getting silly now. o7 Cmdr, added to the list.

I didnt take pictures of the ships loadout, as it was the same, but this time I started at Latugara (Love Orbital) (less than 315 Ly) from Sol. Final time 3h50m45s. Reference to the record on the first page should be updated?

Reached Beagle Point and Salome's Reach today (6th of March 3308). My journey started on the 24th of May 3307 in Sol - right when the new planetary tech in the then abysmal Odyssey gave me a new reason to explore. I plan to circumnavigate first the outer regions counterclockwise and then continue on the inner circle clockwise, finally spending some time at the galactic center (again) to then return home maybe next year or the year after.

I'm CMDR UF, my ship is the Rashomon, an ASP with 73,6 ly effective range.

  • CMDR name: Tiago_picO
  • Date of reaching 65000 ly: 26 / 06 / 3308
  • Ship Type: 65ly laden Phantom called Millennium Falcon
  • Maximum Distance from Sol: 65 647 ly
  • Any other interesting information: Do not own a Fleet carrier (Can't afford it). After reading OP, i created a EDSM account in hope that after linking to my Frontier account my map info could be available... no joy.
  • Left SOL +/- 3 months ago, passed by colonia, sold my data there and fixed my ship. After that straight to Beagle point, once there googled cool stuff to visit around BP.. found out about "Salomé's Reach" so after landing at the great crater and some screenshots, of course i jumped "next-door" to pay a visit.
  • Maybe amongst the screenshots there is proof i was there the old fashion way.. IF there's another way i can prove it please tell me. o7

Whilst I am aware that the club is officially closed, and has been for a long while, seeing other CMDR’s still posting theirs I wished to submit my own trip to Beagle point and Salomé’s Reach. It was not that long of a trip admittedly, less than 2 weeks in the end I think, but it was both shorter and longer than I imagined it'd be. Regardless, here is the required information!

  • CMDR Name: Herix
  • Date of starting: 29-09-3308
  • Date of reaching Beagle Point: 09-10-3308
  • Date of reaching Salome’s Reach: 09-10-3308
  • Ship name: HNLMS Abel Tasman
  • Ship type: Anaconda – kitted out for exploring, link to build here
  • Ship specs: 71.30LY unladen, 68.12LY at Beagle Point (full fuel, 8 limpets)
  • Any other information: I have NEVER taken a jump on a carrier before, not for this trip (which the flight log should show) nor for anything else. Everything has been done manually by jumping around with ships, and only in recent times have I put effort in it (hence my trip to Beagle to begin with).

Flight path:
I started from Shinrarta Dezhra and went down to Maia to see my first black hole ever, after which I followed the path down the spur until I reached about Tenebrae, then headed through Dryman’s point and into the Trojan Belt. There I followed the entire spur through The Veils and into the Formorian Frontier, eventually heading straight up into The Abyss to meet Beagle Point. After that, I went through the twists and turns in order to each THE furthest point of the current galaxy, Salome’s Reach, of which I did use jumponium for in order to go beyond that 82 light year border because I am an exploraconda, not a jumpaconda.

All in all, thanks to whoever still reads this, I will be making my way home soon enough after enjoying the journey I took for the past 2 weeks, but who knows, maybe I will try the 48 challenge someday – might be plausible and doable within a weekend for sure! That being said, I guess this is the peak of Elite Dangerous for me in a sense, admittedly am quite sentimental about it since I achieve it right around the 900 hour mark, which is... Quite immense. Ah well, I am sure I will get over it soon enough. Still, I hope this is good enough to be counted unofficially official, and for now, o7 CMDR’s, see you around the galaxy!

Nice one commander! Just skipped over your video, that was a good job. Since you mentioned you don't believe in the record times, feel free to message me in here, or send me a friends request in game. I'll gladly explain what I did different than you. Fly safe!

Just because the fastest ones seem too fast it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen… but I’m sure CMDR Dr_Chives already helped you understand how to achieve (much) faster times.
