So, with Tencent, as a major shareholder, being in the unenviable position of having the right to buy out Frontier, which mobile phone games would the forum like to see introduced into the stable?
EDO.
The UI/UX changes are already gone that way, the logical way to proceed would be to shut down PC & console servers and go free to play with subscription based perks (like ability to collect engineering mats) phone app only.
Oh there'll be pool of drool on their floor already with CiG business model in mind - only £800 for E-rated Anaconda!

BTW; Just want to say that I hope that FDev remains independent but if it has to be bought by someone, the only acceptable buyer to me is Elon Musk.

Anything related to the Elite game we played before Odyssey really. Fighting, trading, exploring, engineering, building ships, all these different kind of missions there were, bgs, interacting with the elite world, etc..

Spaceship stuff however, meaning I don't really enjoy Fps games, have played a few and I get bored with them. I dislike both the rhythm and the constant killings, they also tend to be simplistic games. Also it's not really that easy to excel in another field, and I believe Frontier didn't have a history in the Fps genre? It has taken franchises like say Call of Duty many years to reach where they are, always being dedicated to the particular genre. You can't do everything..

Odyseey has laid a framework that could enhance the original game, but it is mostly unconnected with it right now. And the games past hasn't been that great on expanding ideas once they been introduced. Usually we get what we get and that's it more or less.
That is the funny thing isn't it?

It could well have been all connected, but guess what?

We had people demanding that they never be "forced" to do Odyssey stuff.

They got exactly what they asked for.

I really don't know who to blame anymore, so it's probably everyone, both FD and players.

Well i for one would like to get attacked more often by NPCs, i really would.

And what a beautiful galaxy we could create if we all let ourselves get weirdly close to other cmdrs to see our trade and exploration ranks! That's a galaxy i could get behind (y)
I agree, make no mistake.

But that doesn't change the fact that as it stands, ED is heavily focused on combat, to the point it glorifies it above everything else.

Always has.

The Real Doom is the clear and present danger of nuclear war in real life terms, but here we are arguing about a speculative takeover from a company that is based in a nuclear super power or a company that's based in a country that wants to make the whole world a communist's paradise.

Planet Elite comes to mind
Also Elite Commander - 3rd person / isometric view, managing planets and fleets, but still being able to customize ships and stuff (a la Mech Commander, the tactic Mech Warrior game)
