It's fun for some time but after a while, the pleasure of the exchange is gone. As AA blocked me, it's not fun anymore and just a waste of time much well spent on SC. It's weird but I realised I mainly came here for his posts.
Some news from me, after having bought in game with my son a Connie, we are on our way to get a Mole. Pretty excited to get it. I will perhaps come back from time to time to say hello.

The amount of skeptics will not regenerate by itself. It is only dismishing patch after patch. You can see it here you are far less numerous than before to post.

They are of high value due to the qualities of their contributions. The only value the trolls see is users feeding them.

I'm actually one of the rare gamers who bought SC first and is now playing Elite. I believe Star citizen will be the greatest space sim mmo game ever created but Elite is soo addicting to me. I enjoy exploring star systems and mapping planets with hardly any PVP unless I go looking for some PVP. In SC you don't have as much time to explore. I was really surprised that Elite has it's own versions of Jumptown on multiple planets the conflict zones are awesome and plus they are faction based. So it isn't just you and some friends pvping in one area . its players and a team of NPCs who are part of a huge faction controlling a mutliple star systems battling. (source)

To say it very clear. I did not pledge on a concierce level for SQ42. You can totally stop SQ 42 and I won't even care.

What I care about is the PU only and I (Concierge) will stop pledging until there is a priority shift to the PU. In the meanwhile I try Elite again.

Those are great examples. To be fair I think the "exodus" of players from SC to Elite has always been there. Constant, matteroffactly, unassuming. It is just part of the natural cycle of a game like Elite. Some players come (some new, others from other space games etc), some players return after a break, and of course some leave for diverse reasons. There are examples of players moving to and from Elite and SC everywhere you look.

Same happens to other games. About the only community where some fans seem to see that as some kind of vindication worth publicizing is SC. I guess that when you do not have a released game, reasonable independent metric for concurrency or player count, or game reviews or critic scores, then that is probably one desperate way to rationalize your emotional or monetary sunk cost into SC, or your "rage" towards Elite, as the case may be.
