Depends on the case, the filters, how often you clean them,.... some cases are born with filters, some cases take to filters and some cases have filters thrust upon them.As most of the dust won't be generated inside the case would filters, checked and cleaned/replaced frequently, be a good idea or would the reduction in airflow in the clean state be too great?
Whatever you do - make sure yo can clean the filters from the outside. I have a case with multiple filters - and the largest (and most important) of these can only be cleaned after opening the case. Wouldn't be such a big issue, if the case weren't mounted in a bracket under my desk - so I have to remove the case to open it to clean the filter. Cleaning the filter: 30 seconds. Time for the whole operation: 30 minutes if I'm lucky....
