So what are you hoping for on Wednesday's Stream?

I am an eternal optimist, always have been despite the constant disappointments, I prefer to live in hope rather that view everything with suspicion and pessimism. Having said that I will be happy if we hear on Wednesday that ED has a future, obviously I hope for new content, ships, poi's, more types of on foot missions, hopefully on foot mining for rare mats.
Apart from bug fixing, I would love to see a commitment to looking at issues currently in game that may not be broken but that can be improved (my personal teeth grinding issue is with the FC navigation workflow where a failed jump selection dumps you completely out of the map, rather then just letting you select a new target system)

I think what we will see going forward is mainly trying to rebuild faith from investors.

I would think that since the start of this year FDev have been discussing what lessons they have learned from last year.
Throw the pandemic into the mix and it's impact on how offices are (not) being used, with more opportunity for remote working, etc.
They have probably 'restructured' and then decide what's in scope and deliverable with the resources they have.
One early casualty has been not bringing Odyssey to consoles, which tells me they have most likely downsized a bit as companies tend to when plans fail.

So with all this in mind, I should imagine they will use words like 'focus' and 'streamlined' a lot instead of 'downsize' and 'scale back'.

They will say they are continuing to work on console account transfers and will update us when they have more.

After DB's forum post about dropping Odyssey for consoles to allow the story and content to move forward AND after the initial leak back prior to the Odyssey release which basically said On-foot, FPS with Thargoids and base-building, I expect Thargoid FPS to arrive this year and unfortunately that maybe the 'big' thing for the year. I'm not sure FDev will give specifics on this though, as it would probably be better if they arrived unannounced.
But I'm not sure if FDev could deliver Thargoid bugs without the software ones.

Hopefully once they get this on foot bug hunting stuff out of the way they will 'focus' on exploration and give it some of the love it desperately needs.

Starting off with: "I know it's been a while since we talked about updates, but us quietly getting on with things for a while has cracked it. We've now got things sorted out now regarding performance with update 12."

I hope that they do not announce sun-setting the ED servers. At this point I'm already happy if there is no bad news.
Don't think it could ever be that bad. It would be catastrophic to go from preparing to launch a massive paid expansion to the game to shutting it down 12 months later.

After that, to paraphrase a line from a scene from Fawlty Towers, the only investors you'd find in there would be kamikaze ones.

Confirmation of account transfers...what is/isn't possible and SLA
Return of Dev input to streams even if it is once a quarter as they were really interesting
High level "road map" covering the next two years not including spoilers just keep it general...new 2 year story arc in progress, fleshing out existing content being looked at, rework of current sub-optimal content, linking on foot and space content etc.
Review of issue tracker as per Devs returning keep it to once a quarter, also use it as a place to show off all of the successes they've had
