No merge; it's a one-off transfer, leaving the original console account intact - so you can play both.
The reason behind the Cmdr name not coming over is that it may already be taken on PC (so it might work).
ARX is a legal thing - probably something to do with it being tied to real money - but who knows.
More stuff may transfer if they can work it out.
I'm not sure the reasoning around the Carrier; maybe due to naming or in-world persistence (since the original account doesn't go away)
I was personally expecting a big "it ain't happening", so this all sounded really positive.
I have an important question:
Once we repurchase our Fleet Carriers, will the Discounts on its services (from last years CG) be able to be replied?

Deleted save would still likely be considered an account merge. You get a completely new PC account as a copy of your console account, that's it.
It would be a new carrier; is there a reason those discounts couldn't be applied?

I don't think it works like that. It doesn't seem you can merge the console account to an existing PC account. It will be a totally new account on PC.
So do i delete my cmdr on the account i want it on with the help of the FID number, or is it just over wriiten?
It would complicate the spell. Which would be bad.

No, you will be given a completely new PC Horizons account it seems I assume linked to your console email address.
A few things I need them to cover in announcements like this.
1. For those who already own the game on PC.
-Does this write over existing PC account or would we end up with two saves?
2. Is this done via the console game or via the website?
3. Date…while I know they do not have a date, set the expectation. Give a timeframe as you have said its a limited time offer.
These are the obvious questions and I believe all if not all were asked weeks ago on their last thread.
being a new carrier, that wasn't purchased during the CG's past reward week, or as i care about; the Discount applied to the services, it wouldn't be unless Fdev themselves artificially apply it themselves.
Is it safe to assume that the transfer will overwrite the existing PC account?
They said in the stream that they're being vague on the new content because said content contains new features that have never been done before in Elite that they're not allowed to talk about yet.
