Console Profile Transfers and 2022 Updates

Why delete your PC account? You can have multiple accounts on one PC, you just log in with a different email address/password. I've been doing that recently as Horizons was only £5 on Frontier store.
What if I use the same email address on Xbox as I do for frontier. Sorry if that's a dumb question I just really want to get it right the 1st time lol

Congrats to the console players!

About that "roadmap": Stability and optimization were already expected. So were updates. And I would argue, so were some sort of narrative (an occasional GalNet article?). On the other hand there is no news about the future direction of the game. None. It's not that Frontier don't know how to do the hype.

The promise that ED will continue is a freebee. Frontier could pull the plug next week and be like 🤷‍♂️

Before today I was wondering what on Earth is going on inside Frontier. That surely haven't changed.

Too little too late I'm afraid most have walked away and won't give elite a second look . But much kudos to you guys for getting a work around pity you couldn't have sorted this on the original announcement , but I think the amount of folk who left really hurt .

Thanks for the update, and I think this is good news for console. I have already created a PC CMDR in Odyssey, after hearing of the cancellation on console. Can I use this new PC CMDR for the copy? And if I do, am I right in assuming the console copy will overwrite any on-foot progress I have made on my current PC account?

Work has also begun on a major feature overhaul for 2023 that we’ll discuss later in the year.

Somewhat vague, but intriguingly so. Does it mean a major overhaul of one feature, or a couple, or many?

What I hope it means is a revitalisation of existing core features to add much desired depth to the gameplay. I’d be very interested to get a very high level description of the intention there, if not details of the specific changes, though I don’t think that will be forthcoming anytime soon. That is disappointing, as I think a summary of the general vision would spark a lot of excited speculation, and build up some hype and hopes in the lead up.

Another epic roadmap...

Why don't you just write

Roadmap 2022:

Things

Roadmap 2023:

More things.

I mean... it's like the 3rd time you come out with a thing like this.. now it's just.. just...
Well now if anyone says the game is dead we can point to optimization and stability updates through the end of this year...and some vague overhaul next year. It's not dead, there's stuff!

The console transfer is one thing, nice those commanders can move over, doesn't affect me, as i don't have a console. As to the roadmap, you sure you guys aren't politicians? How to say nothing in three easy paragraphs. The roadmap is a joke. Says absolutely nothing, no content info, no ships, nothing at all. Might as well be a bunch of random letters for the amount of potential content we can look forward to.

Exact same thoughts here. Would be awesome if the core gameplay got revamped and get the much needed depth to pull it away from the: "mile wide, inch deep" meme.

But at the very least, I now know to put ite behind till 2023 and take a peek somewhere in mid Q1

Another possibility is that support can move Odyssey from the existing pc account to the new console PC account. I have done it with horizons and two pc accounts in the past.

Really? That's interesting as this would be my preferred option.
Definitely, looks like the only way my transferred Cmdr would get to use my pioneer orange suits...
So I don't have to decommission my carrier, just find another 5 billion plus services...
I'll also want to rename my PS Cmdr as a generic PSN handle just doesn't cut it...

I haven't read through this entire thread, so might have missed this - but here's a screenshot of the roadmap (with Arf's head cropped out :D )
