What is the Most Wanted game? Looks like NMS with ED graphics.
It's the latest (free) DLC for Space Engineers. Of course SE is full of new ships all the time, because players design and build their own ships, but the addition of extra parts like rounded windows means even newer ships because of even more design possibilities.

The point I'm making to the fellow I'm replying to is that all three of my "other space games" have had new ships added recently.

Unlikely. You accepted the credit only option that was available at that time.

It's not retro-active back to the previous credit only transfer option which you accepted at that time.

In effect, your asking to be compensated twice. You already received payment for your ships and assets.

I doubt Frontier will now give you the ships and assets again, after being paid under the previous transfer policy.
fair play - but how about all the ship kits & weapon detailing & bobble heads i paid real money for?

Bear in mind we'll have at least a couple of weeks notice before they even open the window for transfers (although transfer doesn't really seem the right word, it's a copy)
Copy.. I like the sound of that better than transfer! It's presumably about the same. ;)(y)

Re. the transfers, no one on console has Odyssey, so the mention of 'weapons' after ships must refer to ship weapons.

Am I missing something obvious, I don't see a reference to 'modules'? I'm sure like many others do, I have a ton of fully / double engineered modules stored, which aren't weapons. Or is that covered by 'inventory' (which I assumed to be mats)?

I know FD aren't the best at communication so I don't blame you for checking between the lines, but they did list the things that aren't included - Unspent ARX, Fleet Carriers, and Names (IF the name is already taken on PC). The fact that modules aren't included in that second list, for me, eliminates any ambiguity about them in the first.

One thing that did just occur to me though, on the topic of names. I believe first discoveries by console commanders appear as 'unknown' on PC. If the transfer goes through, does that mean all those discoveries will get a name, or are they staying as they were?
I love the potential credit duplication exploits and how nobody mentioned it.
It's been mentioned, but I wouldn't even call it an exploit, it appears to be by design.

Then you didn't quite understand it. People could transfer credits via FCs back to console accounts after it has been duplicated (or from other accounts who simply want to duplicate their money). Doing this multiple times yields exponential increase per account transfer.

Just curious, the updates planned for 2022 hinges on Chaosgate & F1 Manager's success, right?
Chaosgate looks reaonable in sales currently (but Frontier are only the publisher for this, not developer) according to this:

Although some of the reviewers have been less than kind over the game's optimisation, so the steam reviews later this afternoon may be interesting.

I already did so:

No, I get it, (although you did see a broader scope to it than me I'll grant you that) but the transfer can ony be done once per account. Sure multiple console CMDRS could pool their credits one after another, and that could make for some impressive numbers, but credits aren't that hard to get a hold of anyway and have limited utility after a certain point. If it were possible to trade ship engineering materials (the true progression currency of Horizons) that would be different.

This may be the reason there's going to be a limited window for transfers though.

I already did so:
Ok, you mentioned a single duplication for the account in question. But that is nothing to how exploitable it potentially is. You could form groups of people who all want to duplicate their stuff, and doing it in chains for multiple accounts that are copied, making more credits in days than there are in the whole game right now (due to the exponential increase).

Assumming that Fdev cover 50% of their roadmap then we will get a few optimisations and no new content until 2023. The roadmap shows just maintenance mode. There is no change by Fdev I expect further silence and quarterly descoping and bla blubb.

Wow, someone likes their steam charts. White knights have nothing now, steam is an official valid reference. Look, steam. Source king of knights.

I transferred from xbox to PC quite a while ago and at time was told only money would transfer - i lost all my ships, ship kits, modifications everything i had spent real money on the store for

Now youre saying you can transfer all this? So can i get all my old stuff back ????
They said the time window will be limited, so don't count on it. It will never be retroactive.

Greetings Commanders,

We’d like to thank you all for your patience whilst we’ve been working on our communications and development plans for the remainder of the year.

Following the launch of Odyssey, our primary focus has been on performance, optimisation and bug fixing, along with adding more features. This focus has had a knock-on effect with regards to our plans for this year and beyond and delayed our communications.

We understand the concern and frustration this has caused and hope this post goes some way to alleviate those feelings. Below we discuss profile transfers for console players and give an overview of the updates coming before the end of 2022.

Console Profile Transfers

We can now confirm that players will be able to copy their profiles from console to PC in light of Odyssey’s cancellation on Xbox and PlayStation. This process will be time limited and optional. We will provide a date for this process once it is confirmed.

The original profile will remain playable on console and the new PC profile will be a copy. Only one profile may be copied over per copy of the game. Please also be aware that this will be a one-time only process.

Elements that will be copied
  • Ships, Holo-Me, weapons, SRVs and SLFs
    • Including Cobra Mk IV if owned
  • Core progression (this includes…)
    • Inventory
    • Reputation
    • Navy Ranks
    • Permits
    • Codex Discoveries
    • Engineering progress
    • Guardian Tech Broker progress
  • NPC Crew progress
  • Cosmetics*
*Cosmetic items applied through the Livery (ships and Fleet Carriers) and Holo-Me will remain applied.

Elements that won’t be copied
  • Commander name*
  • ARX Balance**
  • Squadron membership
  • Friends lists, Block lists and Private Groups
  • Current mission progress
  • NPC Crew names and appearances

*The process will require a new name to be chosen if the original name is not available on PC.

**ARX balances cannot be transferred. We recommend that anyone who submits their account for the transfer process purchases any desired cosmetics beforehand. Any unspent ARX post-transfer will remain available on the original console profile.

Fleet Carriers and their contents

Fleet Carrier ownership cannot be transferred from one Commander to another. To players that wish to own a Fleet Carrier post-transfer we would advise the following:
  1. Decommission your Fleet Carrier ahead of the transfer
  2. Wait for the decommissioning to complete (two weeks).
  3. Check that credits from the decommissioning have been returned.
  4. Complete the profile transfer process
  5. Re-purchase a Fleet Carrier on PC
Precise dates for the opening and close of this process will be announced closer to the time.

Roadmap

Here we present our top-level roadmap for the remainder of 2022. Our three focuses before the year ends are launching the next phase of the narrative, stability and optimisation. We’ll release three more updates to support these.

Within the narrative, human space balances on the precipice as tension mounts within the bubble. The Azimuth Saga will conclude in a grand finale event, the consequences of which will mark the beginning of the next stage of the Elite story in Update 14.

Meanwhile, updates 12 and 13 will largely focus on quality-of-life changes, stability and optimisation. Work has also begun on a major feature overhaul for 2023 that we’ll discuss later in the year.

Please note that the details and timings of each release are subject to change and that any adjustments will be shared ahead of time. Beyond this we are also discussing additional game content, and we’ll reveal it once confirmed.

Development Updates and Streams

Following the launch of Odyssey in 2021, we started publishing monthly development posts to share our progress on subsequent updates. In light of the remaining updates for 2022 being confirmed above, these will not continue. However, we will still provide detailed patch notes, information, and other relevant details around updates and hotfixes as they are released between each development post.

Regular streams from the Community team have returned. Going forwards, these will be fortnightly on Thursdays at 16:00-18:00 GMT. This additional time between streams will allow us to put on longer shows and take full advantage of the in-office studio. Frameshift Live has only just started and we have many exciting ideas to explore in the future! If you have not been watching, these streams now feature new and exclusive Twitch Drops that can be earned simply by watching.

We will also be launching our Partnership Programme later this year, offering content creators their own exclusive Twitch drops their communities can earn by watching them. More on this in the coming months!

We hope this post clarifies our continued support and plans for Elite. As always, we thank you for your feedback and support.

This is such a good news and yet it brings all the haters in here to complain anyway... But who cares? The good news is that the community will soon be (mostly) reunited again, on PC, as I expect most of those who can do the transfer (let's not forget some people do not have the money to buy a PC, sadly) will do it.
