That simply not true though. Maybe that would be the most likely version we'd get from Frontier, but there are definitely enough examples out there to disprove that statement.

I made no statement - I gave an opinion. You can't "disprove" opinions - but you're welcome to disagree. I also said quite clearly that (another opinion) this game needs more than cosmetic fluff to be fixed FOR EVERYONE.

Why is it I get the impression that people don't READ what others say on this forum?

The part I quoted sounded like a statement, sorry if I got that wrong. Of course you are allowed to voice your opinion.

I like the concept of engineering but as with many parts of this game it's poorly executed. Your rebuttal is so far wide of answering my question it's almost ad hominem.

I genuinely think that (like Carrier Interiors before them - thanks @Northpin ) nobody will care about ship interiors within a week of them appearing. It would not (could not) add anything to the playing of the game; it would be cosmetic fluff. This game cannot be fixed (for everyone) by adding cosmetic fluff. It needs deeper work.
I like the carrier interiors simply for what they are, a chance to experience the space of space stations, rather than just another menu screen. Similarly, I feel that ship interiors would enhance ships merely by existing. Otherwise ships are just another menu screen with the pilot trapped in the pilot's seat.

For some, just having the space to use is gameplay. There have been various suggestions of how ship interiors can be used (including by DBOBE himself) so I see no particular value in repeating what those opposed to ship interiors will just ignore again.

If they did a star citizen implementation where you can eva , that would open up a whole host of gameplay modes , EVA in space could allow for interesting gameplay stuff , same with carrier interiors they need to add gameplay to it to make it more interesting , have it opt in , so a simple mission you can accept which starts a carrier battle inside , pirate defense or faction battle etc , same with ship interiors have gamemodes attached to them to make it interesting , would be cool to have to deal with people boarding your ship etc ,

That one word makes your post objectively wrong. Sorry!

No, because the prefix "I genuinely think that..." makes it AN OPINION. Please try to keep up, dear.
Well your OPINION is objectively wrong. I would not become bored with properly executed ship interiors in a week, this is a fact (I know because I play games with ship interiors and I continue to enjoy the added gameplay months and even years later). So "nobody" in your opinion is not just falsifiable, it's now falsified.

Please try to keep up, dear. :p

Nevertheless, people CAN genuinely think something that is wrong ... just look at flat earthers!

A more genuine and honest argument about ship interiors would be whether or not enough players (present and potential) would get added value from this feature to warrant the required development time. I honestly don't know. All I can say is I'm one of those players who does enjoy properly done interiors, even rudimentary interiors like found in X4.

Too bad the forum bans polls.

Not that this has anything to do with the topic of the thread. Do people actually think that ship interiors are part of the current roadmap? I don't.

Because you are perceptive.

Now this is why I don’t want ship interior, I got my fill of fighting people and monsters in corridors and rooms decades ago.

Well as they aren’t in the game now they can’t be part of the overhaul.
