You do get limited time only paint jobs. Are those not available anymore?
Chrome was available over the Christmas / New Year break and I grabbed it for my main Krait MKII.

Wow. I noticed today all those modular terminals sold out. The Silver Citadel has moved to another location and has nothing for sale right nowThe Silver Citadel (H9H-TTY) is now in the BEIMECH system and has 38 Modular Terminals for sale if any commander wants to spend credits to save time unlocking MARCO QWENT. You'll need just over 250,000 credits for 25 - no it's not cheap, but it is convenient.
CongratulationsDONE!!!
On my way to pick up my Vette.

Kraken? The Anaconda is dragon, so need something else. Demon or Balrog... maybe. Prefer something less evil.
Hydra and Basilisk are the names of different types of Thargoid craft so might confuse people as to the loyalty of the commander.Kraken?
Hydra?
Basilisk?
I did not know that.Hydra and Basilisk are the names of different types of Thargoid craft so might confuse people as to the loyalty of the commander.
Amazing pics. Man I've got so much to look forward to.Phew, been a couple of weeks since last update! Short version, fitted a new PSU and Radeon 6650xt into my PC, and somehow caused The Great Crash of '22. I broke that computer in so many ways it was unusable for days. My cpu overclock, stable for 4 years is still ruined, possibly gone forever. My Windows install completely died, possibly due to file corruption from so many bluescreens. Had to wipe it and start over with basically zero notice. This cost me all my ED control bindings because, naturally, they're stored in AppData... haha, why would you ever store game settings in the game's folder? What kind of madness would that be to keep config files with the program they belong to? Still, not as bad as Eastshade, who's save game file was also in AppData, not on the D drive with the game where it would have survived
Anyway, I think the last thing I saw before my enforced break was this delightful red hellscape, in a system a ways off east of the bubble, where I'd gotten the first discovery+scans on, so long ago that I don't remember doing it.

Having now rebuilt my PC and sent the 6650xt back because of it's dire OpenGL support, I am now running a 3060. Frankly, both cards were good with EDO, both were running 60fps on planets at 1440p resolution and max details. The 6650xt was able to do 150% superscaling where the 3060 is "only" doing 125% but... I don't feel like I've lost a lot. TLDR, the only reason not to get a 6650xt for this game is because you run above 1440p, or like me, love Minecraft (the one big failing of that card, weirdly). That wasn't really the point of this post, but I felt like I needed the vent. Obviously I don't know how this will perform in settlements; probably not great at 125% resolution, but I will visit those very rarely and can of course... come back to 100%.
Either way, it's nice being able to have decent screenshots without having to F10 them and then go shrink the bitmap and jpg it!
The next moon in "my" system had some very tall and somewhat boney looking bamboo.

And some tussocks.

Finishing up there, I picked a nearby G-type star and jumped out. The first jump, generic M class, undiscovered... I find another bio+geo world. I was ranting about this combination about a month ago because I had literally never seen one before and was so pleased - and now I've had 2 in a short span of time. Like busses, I tells you.

Soul-crushingly, where I had spent a day and a half buzzing around the previous planet in a quest to find both features next to each other, this time, here they both were right as I came in to land. Oh well, maybe next time I will find some properly interesting life instead of just goo pools?

Also it's quite blue here. I will guess at a neon atmosphere, they tend to do this sort of thing.
There are 3 or 4 types of Scout class Thargoids that can be dealt with inefficiently using conventional weapons though a specialist sensor in a utility slot is advisable.I did not know that.
I used Hydra for an FDL I rarely use (never really charmed me).
Pixie - Sidewinder
Goblin - Hauler
Centaur - ASPX
Pegasus - Python
Wolf - Cobra III
Fox - DBX
Phoenix - Phantom
Chimera - Krait II
Hydra- FDL
Manticore - Chieftain
Dragon - Anaconda
Mermaid - Orca
Angel - Imperial Courier
Archangel - Cutter
Leviathan and Kraken are interesting, and Leviathan rolls off the tongue with Silver.
Aren't Thargoid ships supposed to be alive and you want to aim at one of their several hearts? I thought I saw a video where the pilot would target one of the hearts in the sub-contacts menuThere are 3 or 4 types of Scout class Thargoids that can be dealt with inefficiently using conventional weapons though a specialist sensor in a utility slot is advisable.
Then there are the Interceptor class Thargoids which include Medusas Hydras and Basilisks which are immune to conventional weapons.
Specialist weapons and other equipment are available.
