of course it is a bank!…But Frontier isn't a bank...

it is true that you can spend a lot of money on SC ships... but OTOH my package for Star Citizen and the 1st Squadron 42 game comes with a ship and cost me less than my Elite Dangerous pledge.......Theres a shiny new ship for only £115 !!

While that IS your prerogative, it just makes you look bad...Not me. I'm bashing England for having 200 banking holidays a year (which apparently everyone takes off, so why call it a "banking" holiday)![]()
I concur, nearly everything is not mutually exclusive...But that doesn't mean FD doesn't handle this stuff pretty poorly. Not sure why you insist on making it either/or.
Fair enough - thought they had more BH than us, but know they have a lot less holidays in general (work wise ) than us.they have a lot less holidays in general than the UK.... there are reasons to want to live in the US (some of the places are breath taking) but days holiday - and work life balance in general imo - is not one of them.
Lol it will never launch mate.it is true that you can spend a lot of money on SC ships... but OTOH my package for Star Citizen and the 1st Squadron 42 game comes with a ship and cost me less than my Elite Dangerous pledge.......
No one forces you to be a whale. Now.......... how much of an advantage those whales will get when the game launches remains to be seen...... but personally despite having a shiny cobra mkIII and a bag of cash in my starting pledge for ED as an option, I never used them.
We dont know yet how money grubbing SC will be when it launches.
time will tell i guess....... it would be nice to have a way of tagging posts with an easy way to go back to them.... (i dont want to fill my bookmarks up and i will neer be able to find this thread even if it does launch in 3+ years timeLol it will never launch mate.
Just look at the disaster Invictus launch week is, folks cant even play the game on their 'free fly' week.
Complete joke of aGame

They didn't set a date. We've having a go at Frontier for once more missing dates that they set, yes. I suggest that Frontier set a date internally and then automatically add two weeks onto it before they announce it.
Did they handle it poorly? In this example? But that doesn't mean FD doesn't handle this stuff pretty poorly. Not sure why you insist on making it either/or.
It's okay to be jealous of our workers rights, even if we're under a government slowly chiseling away at themNot me. I'm bashing England for having 200 banking holidays a year (which apparently everyone takes off, so why call it a "banking" holiday)![]()
The places that I've worked here in the US have offered 10-paid holidays per year. Employees generally may get paid time off in addition, but the norm that I've seen is between 10-15 days to be used for personal vacations, sick days/doctor visits, etc.How many a year does the US have - sure it's more than the UK - we normally have 8. It's just that most of ours come in bunch, and then we have none for ages.
When it what now?We dont know yet how money grubbing SC will be when it launches.
Ah yes, Powerplay V2 where the old promised feature of having people fall off the roster is finally realised. Poor old Delaine, going to miss him.
Oh I'm jealous of many things - your public transportation, your broadband (IIRC), your healthcare (again IIRC), your rich history (landscapes with castles, for example), your lovely accents, and more! It's okay to be jealous of our workers rights, even if we're under a government slowly chiseling away at them![]()
indeed which is a pretty grubby work life balance imo. Years ago I was offered a job in St Louis it was doing the same job as was part of the same project (Human Genome Project).... the pay was significantly more but half the holiday, issues with sickdays - not to mention the brutal heat / humidity it was just not something i fancied... nice to visit and do knowledge exchange - the people were fantastic there and the locals (in the bars) were also really chatty, but i prefered Cambridge UK even if my pay was guff......The places that I've worked here in the US have offered 10-paid holidays per year. Ouch. I was using the highly accurate internet for my research - and was only talking 'Public / Bank Holidays', but presuming that is all Holidays, including 'Public/ Bank', then you poor sod. I get 8 public, and 23 personal (I dropped from 8+25 from previous jobs). I think average is the 8 (statutory), and around 20 othersThe places that I've worked here in the US have offered 10-paid holidays per year. Come on Over - the weathers iffy, so is the Government (whichever one we have at the time), but the people are nice(ish), you are unlikely to get shot, and errrmmmm.
Their must be more to it than that, hmmmmmm.
EDIT: What has happened to the world, when you can't trust what you find on the internet![]()
Announce a release date on elitedangerous.com and then change it within five hours? With that argument? I'd call that poor, yeah.Did they handle it poorly? In this example?
