indeed I am one of those..... I will stop playing ED without vr but how is that addiction? am in addicted to a steering wheel because I would stop playing automobista if they removed support

in a computer game sense sure.. it's a device to enhance the authenticity of a game you play.... I "could" use an Xbox pad or joystick if I wanted but I wouldn't want to. seems a valid comparison to me

It's a big downgrade. Like if you had to swap your nice widescreen monitor for a 14" black and white portable TV.
indeed. and Whilst it is true I will happily watch older black and white TV just like I love retrogaming , equally I would not be happy if a program that I had watched series 1 and 2 in in colour.... series 3 was suddenly filmed in black and white.
but it is not about being addicted to colour
anyway that ship has sailed for ED now and to a point I have accepted it. I still dip in now and then to play and will continue to do so.... but I may give up on the on foot stuff. I gave it a real go the last few weeks but.....

Oh, I know where the entrance is. It's on the face rotating anti-clockwise. I meant as I fly around a station to reach the entrance, not as I fly around randomly looking for the entrance.
The face with the mail slot also has blinking green lights in the corners.
The opposing face has blinking red lights in the corners
sorry I know it is OT but I was asked to respond.
sadly I had to refund X Rebirth VR in my reverb G2 it looks beautiful and runs really well ( 3090 GPU however) but did not support my motion controllers. it defaulted to Vive wands and would not let me change. some have managed to build a custom profile but I couldn't fathom it and my refund window was ticking down.
it worked on Xbox pad but there are not enough axis on it. you can't roll on the pad
I then tried on my quest 2 in oculus mode and there was a weird rendering problem when you turn your head which made me feel sick . also... can you believe the oculus mode does not support oculus touch V2 or V3. so once again no motion controls
it supports the x55 hotas which I have but throttle is broke. I assume my x56 would work in its place HOWEVER if am digging out the big guns I would probably just play elite or MSFS 2020. I really wanted to use motion controllers on it given when they are supported they apparently work v well
with time I could probably have sorted but I did give it 20 mins and looked online. also I feel why should I support the devs when they don't support their users..... the most popular vr headset on the market should have native support as should the current "best" PC Headset for seated VR. (tho that may be about to change IF you have the money).

Ah, I see what you mean. I always line up in supercruise so I come out with the entrance directly in front of me... top tip I got off this forum (thanks chaps).
90% of my docking is with a Cutter running on autodock, so I just boost roughly in the right direction and let it do its thing. (Unshielded Cutter, so I keep an eye on the screen.)
