ANNOUNCEMENT - Elite Dangerous | Odyssey: Roadmap
Greetings Commanders, As mentioned in David’s forum post on 25th May, we would like to share our immediate roadmap for Odyssey and talk a little more about performance and improvements as we move towards the console release later this year. We’d like to take a moment to thank everyone for...forums.frontier.co.uk
Actually, this seems to be more akin to -FDev: New content? Make it yourself.

is it fixed for firefox?Greetings Commanders!
I'm happy to announce that the Community Event Calendar is now live and awaiting your event submissions:
https://www.elitedangerous.com/community/events
We're excited to see how you as a community use this tool, and I'm looking forward to hearing feedback on how we can potentially develop this further, if it proves useful to players. The calendar is currently set up to accept a range of event types, from races to mining meetups. At the moment, events can't last for months at a time - this is something we've already noted for a potential phase 2 of the calendar, but for now, if you're running an expedition, I suggest entering the dates for your event as a 'starting period' or 'sign up' period, and you're welcome to put the full date range in the description.
All events submitted into the calendar will be subject to approval, which may take a few days, so make sure to get your event in well ahead of time. There will also be a set of FAQ's to answer anything that you may be thinking of on the page, but if you have a question that's not covered there, please let me know.
The calendar also has some functionality to add an event to your personal calendar, so that you don't forget about your upcoming activity!
I'll be monitoring the calendar activity and questions around it closely over the next few weeks, so I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Better late than never. Hopefully.Actually, this seems to be more akin to -
Players - 'We need a way to be able to schedule player group events that anyone can review'
Player CMDR - 'I got you, fam'
Players -
..two years later...
FDev - 'Hey, this seems like a good idea...'
is it fixed for firefox?
No problems for me with FireFox 98.0.2

Thanks Zac. Yeah - 3 days is way too short. Every single Buckyball race lasts 8 days and I imagine many (most?) expeditions would be at least a week too.So I believe right now, events can last for a maximum of 3 days when inputted by players. We're going to look at potentially increasing that in the short term to two weeks - if you do want to enter your start date now, just stick in the description the full length of the event.
Long term, we're going to look into a cleaner solution so that long events don't clog up the calendar for those that don't want to see them.
I think Zac has a very valid point though. An expedition like DW that takes place over many months would severely clutter the calendar. Maybe events like these should only put start/end or waypoints into the calendar. Maybe have a different place to highlight long lasting events? Obviously that would require some additional work and time from the devs. Thanks Zac. Yeah - 3 days is way too short. I mean surely a cluttered calendar is a good thing? (i.e. lots going on) so really the calendar just needs to cope with this and display it nicely? When you create a user interface for something data driven like a calendar, if you start having to put limitations on what kind of data you can enter, not because that data is particularly invalid, but because your UI doesn't cope well with it, then the problem doesn't lie with the data I'm afraid.
People wanted to plan events, but then realised there's all kinds of bank holidays and delayed them. The enthusiasm for the events calendar disappeared quickly.
Does it mean there are no events (until Lavecon) or there are events and no-one is using the calendar?
