Let's play: What would be YOUR complete roster of the game?

Oh and i want german giants! Wanna know why that breed? Well its common and....

Yeah you see why.

1654119549992.png

And if there wouldnt be this very pretty and iconic color morph i would riot. But not as much as if we dont get those giant cuties

Amazing work!

I'd still add another american flamingo species, any african crocodile, an echidna and a kiwi, a Tamarin and an Aye Aye, but overall I agree with almost all species here.
Because this list is near perfect, im just gonna add to this what i believe is missing:
Mustelids: A Pine or Beech Marten, because they are the common Eurasian Martens
Antelopes: An Eland Species, because they are also common, iconic and just Giants
Bovines: Watussi Cattle, as the propapply most iconic breed of cattle besides the black and white ones, honorable mention to the scottish highland cattle and the domestic yak
Suids: I would choose the Kune-Ku Pig or the vitnamese Pot Bellied Pig for the domestic one, as they are quite common with the pot bellied being the most common breed and also quite unique looking from all other suids with their short stubby legs and pretty patterns.

And like 3 more tamarins like the golden, cotton top and emperor and also 3 more pheasents like the common, silver or lady amesthysts cause like why not? Who doesnt love more monkeys and pretty chickens?
Thank you!

Updated the list with some of your suggestions. Totally forgot about the echidna and kiwi. Decided against the aye aye and tamarins while making the list, but added them in now. Another pheasant species added. Watusi cattle and eland, another marten.

I kept the pig, as I personally just don't like the pot bellied 😅 It's too saggy for me. I'm partial to western 'classic' pigs.

I added a few domestics for petting zoo purposes. Decided against a domestic rabbit because they enjoy peace and quiet and aren't really suited for hustle and bustle.
That said, I love bunnies! I didn't know there were German giants, I only knew Flemish giants! The bottom bun looks like a Papillon? I grew up with a dwarf bunny with that exact color pattern.

Its a "Deutscher Riesenschecke" , more or less a special breed of German giants. And Flemish giants are actually closly related to the german giants and there are also even belgium giants. Its most just really big bunnys and each sub breed has their own sub breeds like the riesenschecke for the german giant

My list of all the animals I want would be very long, so I'm going to break it down by group.

I hope Frontier consider this list and release them faster ( bi-monthly). We don't mind paying they need to making.

The whole idea of a “complete” PZ roster is really subjective, so for the sake of consistency I will be basing my species suggestions primarily around taxonomic orders/clades/families that currently have little to no presence in PZ, while also keeping in mind the popularity of species within said groups, their numbers in zoological facilities, and the likelihood of their inclusion (with species that likely would require new mechanics being completely absent from the list). I personally think PZ would greatly benefit from the introduction of full aquatic and flying species, as they would allow the game to better represent the biodiversity in real-life facilities but I also find the odds of Frontier introducing them (at least in this iteration of PZ) increasingly low unfortunately.

Additionally, majority of the entries listed below will not be at a species specific level, but instead presented in more broader terms, as I feel that a roster feeling complete is more tied to the fulfillment of biological niches and less to making sure “X species or subspecies” is present in-game. There’s a vast number of specific species I’d love to see in PZ, but even I can admit that majority definitely aren’t necessary in order for the game to feel well-rounded.

Primates:
1. Tamarin or Marmoset
2. Large New World Monkey (preferably a Spider or Howler Monkey species)
3. Primarily Arboreal, Small to Mid sized Old World Monkey (Good examples of this would be a Vervet, Guenon, Langur, or Colobus species)
4. Baboon species
5. Gibbon species
6. A Nocturnal species (a host of unique primate families fit within this category. Examples include the Lorisoids [Bush babys & Lorises], Cheirogaleids [Dwarf & Mouse Lemurs], Tarsiiformes [Tarsiers], and Daubentonia’s sole living member the Aye-aye)

Rodents:
1. New or Old World Porcupine species
2. A primarily arboreal species (Popular examples include numerous Squirrel and Cloud Rat species)

Lagomorphs:
1. Hare or rabbit species

Carnivorans:
1. Fossa
2. Walrus
3. Common Raccoon
4. Coati species
5. Mustelinae species (Weasels, ferrets, polecats, stoats, minks)
6. Guloninae species (Martens, fishers, tayras, and wolverines)
7. True small felid species (Examples include the Sand Cat, Pallas’ Cat, European Wildcat, etc.)

Ungulates (strictly terrestrial members):
1. Musk Ox
2. Takin
3. Non-African Equid (Przewalski’s Horse, Onager, or Kiang)
4. Tayassuidae species (Peccaries)
5. Tragulina species (Chevrotains)
6. Moschidae species (Musk Deers)

Marsupials:
1. Tasmanian Devil
2. Wombat species
3. Tree Kangaroo species
4. Small, terrestrial macropod species (Wallabies, pademelons, quokkas, etc.)

Monotremes:
1. Echidna species

Xenarthrans:
1. Armadillo species
2. Sloth species

Afrotheres:
1. Hyrax species
Lizards:
1. Tegu species
2. Additional large Iguana species (or reconfiguration of PZ’s current iguanas as both exhibit/habitat options)

Turtles:
1. Sea Turtle species
2. Freshwater turtle species (Examples include the Alligator Snapping Turtle, Giant South American Turtle, and various Softshell Turtles)
3. Small to mid size, burrowing tortoise species (Examples include the Sulcata, Desert, Gopher, and Radiated Tortoises)

Snakes (definitely a stretch as habitat options, but ones that’d allow for some unique builds):
1. Green Anaconda
2. King Cobra
Cryptobranchidae:
1. Giant Salamander species (Examples include Chinese Giant, Japanese Giant, and Hellbender Salamanders)
Birds of Prey:
1. Large ground-dwelling species (Examples include the Secretary Bird and seriemas)
2. Burrowing Owl (this species selection would lose importance if fully-flighted birds of prey were implemented, but in their absence it helps fill an obvious void)

Bucerotiformes (hornbills & hoopoes):
1. Southern Ground Hornbill (much like the Burrowing Owl, this specific species would lose importance if fully flighted species were ever implemented. Without them though it helps fill a void)

Galliforms (landfowl):
1. Grasslands species (Examples include various Guineafowl, Pheasants, New & Old World Quails, Turkeys, Partridges, Guans, Currasows, Incubator Birds, etc.)
2. Temperate species (Same examples as previous entry)

Paleognaths (ratites and kin):
1. Emu
2. Kiwi species

Anseriformes (waterfowl):
1. Swan species
2. Goose species
3. Duck species

Columbiformes (pigeons and doves):
1. Ground-dwelling species (Examples include various Crowned Pigeons, Ground Pigeons, Pheasant Pigeons, Nicobar Pigeons, Crested Pigeons, Quail-Doves, Bleeding-Heart Doves, etc.)

Pelecaniformes (Pelicans & Kin):
1. Shoebill (a species in a family all its own)
2. Pelican species
3. Small to mid size wading bird species (Examples include Spoonbills, Ibises, Herons, and Egrets)

Ciconiiformes (Storks):
1. Any stork species (Popular examples include the Marabou, Saddle-Billed, Jabiru, and European White Storks)

Charadriiformes (shorebirds):
1. Coastal, shore-foraging species (Examples include various Plovers, Stilts, Avocets, Oystercatchers, Sandpipers, Snipes, etc.)
2. Puffin species
Crustaceans:
1. Coconut Crab

Imma be honest, since the NAAP, I haven't really wanted anything new; honestly, if Frontier decided to end support then and there I would've been satisfied, so now, every new pack is more like bonus things.

But, for my dream roster, I would add the following:

Red fox - I like foxes, and this would help me to bring some variety to NA, Europe, and Asia
Gray fox - similar to above
Greater roadrunner - would be interesting to build for
Greater rhea - a bird representative for SA
Tasmanian devil - would be great to put them in the spotlight and show people conservation efforts

Its the quell! Welcome back buddy!

Watch out, here it comes... I'll put it in a spoiler!

In summary: Huge entries for monkeys, birds, marsupials, equines, caprines, mustelids, and small cats.

The goal is to let everyone be able to build the zoo of their dreams, no matter where they situate the zoo. So I tried to have all types of animals represented in each region. So there are multiples for most types of animals. Example: a mute swan for Europe, trumpeter swan for NA, and a black swan for Australia.

Porcupine
Racoon
Opossum (I think they are toooo cute, you can fight me on that lol)
Highland Cattle
Turkey
Some form of Geese
Some Domestic Pigs (just think of the cute sounds and animations and all the piglets at once!)
Red Fox
any rabbit/bunny
Kirks Dikdik
Exibit: Mice/Rat/Hamster
Exibit: Halloween Moon Crab

And I mean, I'd love love LOVE a toucan, but I don't think that will happen ):
There is also many more I'd be very happy about, but those are the ones I truely hope for :D I know they are somewhat "basic" animals but that is exactly why I want them so much!
