What is the point of the Pulse Wave Scanner?? Fire a prospector at a glowing red roid only to find it has low content of Water. I'm in a LTD hotspot,
!

I should've said Gold really. Yellow and Red linesgive the overall effect. I'm now getting Glowing roids that are actually depleted because I mined them earlier!It's actually a bit more complicated. For a chance for a core a couple of criteria should be met:
- roid is of right shape, there're specific core-enabled roids shapes, forum search should bring you pictures (otherwise interrnet search);
- roid is rightly glowing (i never rly understood that) - per my feeling it's like more yellowish, i think you learn it with time just as recognizing shapes from different angles;
- roid got never blown this tick, if someone mined core, then you can come back next week.
That's basically all i know about core mining for now, my xp is somewhere in 3-digit tons mined range, so quuite modest. Others will maybe correct or point to a guide.
Well, I recognised two of those acts...I have no idea what that really meant but it is worth pointing out that Glasto is next week so maybe the tent and speaker means they are looking forward to the John Peel stage:

That's your Friday night sorted then? I've heard good things of Yungblud, but I've never heard them. Hope they're doing BBC4 coverage, but not looking forward to some TV presenter waffling away in wellies.Well, I recognised two of those acts...
My feeling about how they look colour wise is that it is very heavily influenced by your graphics settings and capabilities so it is best to learn how they appear to you on your system rather than take any guide as gospel.It's actually a bit more complicated. I thought I was getting old and out of touch (of course I actually am) then remembered this was the John Peel stage I am not sure I ever recognised more than a handful of acts he would showcase.Well, I recognised two of those acts...
Now that doesn't look like how my system showed cores, those bright lines on the rock would be tending to be dark and filling it more and more with each scan as I closed in.
There is no black grid shown on the bright yellow - orange glow so it's not the core asteroid you are looking for. You can also see fissures when you get close using night vision.
Even in the bubble there are those intermediate systems with 5 to 10 planets but no population.I have another question, because Odyssey is fairly new with newer added features, how many planets and moons have been checked for biologics and first footfalls in the bubble (gestamation)? I ask because even though I bought both Horizons and Odyssey at the same time, I did almost all of my exploration in Horizons (a lot simpler and easier version of the game). Are there still a lot of unexplored planets and moons in the bubble?
A couple of "fixes" ago, the PWS showed any rocks that were mineable using the "new" mining tools - surface, subsurface and core deposits. I think that is again the case. And unless this changed, your roid has the wrong shape for an ice core. Back in the time, when LTDs still were top earners, ice cores had a distinctive "popcorn" shape.I'm not particularly looking for cores, but it's fun when I do. But if I'm in a LTD hotspot, I'd expect the PWS to show me where to head for the good stuff.

Pulse wave analyser is only of use for core mining in the end. LTD means you are laser mining, and the best advice I can give for that is, find a good platinum hotspot and laser mine this for best profit per hour. The price per ton is usually less than LTD but you can mine it faster as it's more abundant.
Well, you can laser mine LTDs, but you can also get them from cores.LTD means you are laser mining
Not where I'm from.LTD means you are laser mining
I love my Railaconda.Hmmm, after rail gunz, I have revisited PAs~! But I still suckz at it
So, I'm moving 4x rails to my wreck'em conda to have a test. TTK from railz can never beat the Lazor MC combo, I just want to see how they perform on conda.
Watching a video of 8x rail conda, really hate the heats.
