Elite Dangerous | Industrial Sale | Introducing the 'Hazard Pack'

Finally got around to mounting this to my miner (Krait II). Looks good.
Tried adding a subset of the parts to my general explorer (also a Krait II) for the extra lights, but didn't like that my two kraits looked more samey than I wanted and just didn't fit the look I want for my explorer.
If there were a variant with just the extra lights, that would probably work.

ED is a sandbox, there is no win. So technically there can never be pay to win in it no matter what. Still paywalled things that would allow CMDRs to do something faster or more efficiently/conveniently have no place in ED.
My point was, it wouldn't be an extra hardpoint for weapons that could be used in PvP.

In response to the current 'Cost Of Living' crisis worldwide, perhaps FDev would be wise to reduce the price of Arx, during 2022, by 75%.
Handily fdev offer a 100% discount already: buying ARX is optional and so you can just not buy them (and in fact it would probably be less than ethical to reduce their price during the current difficulties as it would encourage some to make that discretionary spend instead)

The thing fdev could do to help with the cost of living crisis would be ... more optimisation to reduce power bills (but even then - playing elite is another discretionary spend, so you can just stop - as there is no subscription to encourage play).

But in winter PCs can switch off fans and be heat pumps- EDO can keep you warm and entertain and earn ARX.

Thats a triple Kinder Egg in these trying times.

It seems you think that the concept of "pay to win" applies only to PvP, to the proverbial "I Win" button.

You are wrong. Anything that you buy to obtain a gameplay advantage over other players, whatever that gameplay maybe, is pay to win.
Yeah, I thought words had a meaning and you could look them up in a big book.
Looks like I was wrong, you can just pretend they have another meaning.

It sickens me how hardware is becoming less power efficient than it was a few years ago. I used to think that we would be at 60-70W high-performance CPUs and 200W upper-midrange/low high-end/not hot-clocked single-step-down SKU GPUs by now.

I hate knowing my computer is gobbling energy to play videogames.

Is there any chance for Corvette and FDL Hazard packs before console profile transfer?

I have 105k Arx to spend before transferring my profile, and I would love hazard packs for them!!

Why? (seriously)
Buying Arx is optional - 400 can be earned just by playing each week, cosmetics are not essential and offer no benefit bar 'pretty' to the player.
Remember that Frontier's "Cost of Living" is also rising, more steeply than our own, so reducing revenue opportunities quite so drastically as you suggest will not be helping them deal with their increasing costs. (Business energy prices are uncapped, employees will need pay rises too...)

I hate knowing my computer is gobbling energy to play videogames.
Very true, and the higher end the PC the more energy it will consume (mine probably sits at around 500-600W when playing a game that is loading both GPU & CPU reasonably) - it looks like the new Intel CPUs, if paired with Nvidia 4090 etc. is going to be chomping its way through a kilowatt or so each hour, with (UK) energy costs set to rise stupidly during the next 6 months, for me at least, playing on my PC for hours each day is very likely to disappear...

The other 'hit' to the Cost of Living squeeze happening pretty much globally is the likelihood of gaming in general (including new software purchases) is going to decrease substantially. It is a luxury, after all.
