Drew is currently making squealing noises on twitch. I think he likes SC.
"everything you could ever want from a space game" he has just said.

Shill10 years later, they are beginning development of critical features.![]()
Then buy another Idris or fleet, FUDster...I'd quite happily put 90% of current issues with Star Citizen down to utterly inadequate server and backend performance...from the killer elevators to falling out of ships, exploding ship ramps or morphing through the scenery![]()
Your don't buy stuff from the Church of Roberts, Infidel. It's a tithe. Then buy another Idris or fleet, FUDster.
They're totally gonna fix all that with something Mesh something which will obliterate all that nonsense.I'd quite happily put 90% of current issues with Star Citizen down to utterly inadequate server and backend performance...from the killer elevators to falling out of ships, exploding ship ramps or morphing through the scenery

...Sure I mentioned in the first part of the post you quoted that server mushing won't fix any of that. The only thing that will fix it is for Chris Roberts to stop digging his sticky little fingers into the pot to pay himself and his mates bonuses and start paying for more server space instead...They're totally gonna fix all that with something Mesh something which will obliterate all that nonsense.
It's been coming for a while apparently - 2019 ish?
Some of us don't really care if SC has any of the more complicated stuff...since a few of us play more than one space game...and in case you haven't noticed, ED already does that kinda complicated stuff pretty good. I don't play SC expecting it to be ED...and vice versaEverything! Unless you want things like..
But you know.. everything else is in there. Like coffee shops and bartenders. The important stuff.
- Multiple solar systems
- A galaxy with multiple star systems in it to explore
- Multiple galaxies to explore
- Actual, physical, Stars
- FTL travel and associated mechanics - time dilation et al
- Realistic physics
- Orbital mechanics
- Orbits. Just.. orbits.
- Other space phenomena such as black holes, non-Sol like types of stars, neutron stars, dwarf stars etc
Oh absolutely (but it's "does it pretty well" -Grammar mode off).in case you haven't noticed, ED also does it pretty good![]()
You should tell that to the idiot Roberts...I play SC because I like some of the things it does do or the way it approaches some of the fledgling gameplay mechanics...I played ED because as far as I'm concerned, ED has always been the BDSSE and I'm not looking to replace or replicate that experience by playing a buggy tech demo still in development.Oh absolutely (but it's "does it pretty well" -Grammar mode off).
I'm just pointing out the Best Damned Space Sim Game Ever kinda needs to have like.. space sim stuff in it to be called a Space Sim in the first place. I'm picky like that.
