Guardian Frame Shift Booster mission is not going too well.
I am unable to find the pylons.
If I don't know what I'm looking for, I can't find it!!

There are. Some are very vague. The Down To Earth Astronomy one is the best, but I'm a beginner and very confused. The game gives nothing away....There's lots of videos on it.
It needs updating and importing your datas from server at a rate you can't get it to, it's not desgined for this, I use it all the time but not this way, better keeping track yourself in your inventory...I find the missing components tab is unreliable for ship materials. After a while it overstates what you need. The crafting list view of missing items works fine for ship materials, and personal equipment seem OK for what is needed for my one blueprint for night vision.
Part of my issue with foot missions is the small tone window to complete and I don't know how long it will take me to do a mission. If I only have 30 minutes available to play and I spend it lost in some buildings, I'm not making what feels like progress.
I'm sure I'll come back to foot missions gain later.
I agree, I think he is one of the better one's, I have noticed that most leave or skip something. When I did it, it took me 7 or 8 tries before I got it right, make sure you have the correct artifact to drop and use your external camera to align the SRV. The more I did it, the faster I got at it, 11Ly range increase is worth it.There are. Some are very vague. The Down To Earth Astronomy one is the best, but I'm a beginner and very confused. Luckily I got it free on Epic...
Also, D2EA video has seven minutes on the count-down. Mine only starts at four!!
I'm going to give it up as a bad job. I have a poor sense of direction anyway and there is no NSEW on the SRV. I am completely lost....I agree, I think he is one of the better one's, I have noticed that most leave or skip something. ... no NSEW on the SRV. ...
I suppose I shouldn’t mention that when I did it the first time it was so early that there were no guides at all. It was a puzzle that I had to figure out, on my own, and eventually I did. I drove around exploring the site, saw those pylons suddenly appear, got surprised by the Sentinels, nearly got destroyed multiple times. It was an amazing experience I’ll never forget.I'm going to give it up as a bad job. I have a poor sense of direction anyway and there is no NSEW on the SRV. I am completely lost....
I did try and setup the camera but, again the videos are so vague as to be nearly useless!
Without the guide, I'd never stood a chance! Props to you Codger!I suppose I shouldn’t mention that when I did it the first time it was so early that there were no guides at all. Maybe what I’m saying is don’t give up so easily. It’s worth the effort to learn the site. And once you succeed it will feel so good.
Good luck out there.

I''ll give it another go another day. Perhaps it'll be daylight like in D2EA 's video....I suppose I shouldn’t mention that when I did it the first time it was so early that there were no guides at all. You can do it in any ship - some of them are just easier to park close enough so that the ship's point defense can provide shielding from the sentinel's missiles. That's easy mode - there are other ways to handle the sentinels.I''ll give it another go another day. Perhaps it'll be daylight like in D2EA 's video....
Could I also do it in an Asp Explorer or is the DBX the only way to go?
If I may turn your attention to the dial below the targeting circles, it is the energy tuner. It works similar to an old radio dial. For the moment I'm struggling to get FSS to work for me...
I'm sure I'm not using it properly, anybody have a clue what I'm doing wrong?

Put your cross hairs over a glowing blob, run the slider (tuner) from one side to the other, you will see a solid circle appear under your cross hairs, your tuned. Depending on what type of planet or moon your centered on, it will tell you in the lower righthand corner when the circle is solid. If there are two solid circles, one around another, there are more than one body within, like gas giants with moons, when the chevrons point wide at an angle, it's ringed, if they are more parallel, the body is ringless. For the moment I'm struggling to get FSS to work for me...

The white line you see on the left end of this dial is your indicator. When you move it across the dial*, it will show you different energy types - at this moment, it is set to show you signal sources like "degraded emissions", further to the right, you see some wave-looking sections above the dial. These will show you different planetary body types (also indicated at the bottom left, where it in this shot says, "TRANSIENT SIGNAL SOURCES"). If you found the matching signal type, a circle will pop up in the location of the body. Aim the crosshair at it to be able to zoom in.
* : As I do not know which type of controller setup you have, and because I only know my Xbox controller setup (there it is bound to the horizontal axis of the right stick), I am unable to tell you which buttons to press to make it work.
Thanks guys for your replies. I'll try to figure out how to move this slider, I have binded it to my hat switch but I'm not sure it's the right set up. I'll try again. I did it in AspX, had no trouble landing close enough for the point defence make Sentinel Missiles a no-concern.I''ll give it another go another day. Perhaps it'll be daylight like in D2EA 's video....

You seem to have figured out how to enter (and presumably exit) the FSS, and how to move targeting around. For the moment I'm struggling to get FSS to work for me...
