Elite Dangerous | Issues with Launching via Steam

Hi! It’s currently a situation our of our hands at the moment, so unfortunately I’m not able to give everyone a specific idea on when everyone will be able to continue as normal.

As soon as I know more I’ll let you all know o7
Are they working on a solution to this problem now?

Hello, as of right now having issues. When i attempt to launch the game via Steam, ED launcher props me to create new acc or log in with existing one. Logging in doesn't work as i "dont own the game". At the bottow there are "Log In" button (which doesnt work, as stated earlier), and "Link Account", which prompts me to log in into my Frontier acc in browser, and then it states "Linking Proccess. Step 3 out of 3. Forbidden". Also upon checking my Steam acc already linked. Should i unlink my steam and re-link it, or all my previous progress will be deleted upon doing this?

I’m trying to keep everyone as updated as possible but the situation is currently needing additional investigation for some of you, so I wouldn’t like to suggest what action you should take just yet, until I’m absolutely certain.

I wouldn't recommend un-linking your steam account, there's a chance it can bork your save if I recall

So as I hope you can appreciate, it’s a Saturday and we don’t have teams working weekends as standard here.
We have got our red light flashing for additional investigation support, however, so please do continue to bear with me :)

Hi all. Just wanted to say that if you attempt to link your account when prompted by the launcher, and hit a 'forbidden' message, this is simply because your account IS linked already. No need to do anything with linking, nor to reinstall. As soon as the communication between us and Steam is back up, your game access will be recognised again with no need for any action on your part. Hopefully, things will be smoothed out again soon.

Hi, I am having the same issues that other people are facing. I restarted my PC as some users have suggested but that didn't resolve it for me. I also went through the log-in process 3 times but every time I do it the game tells me I need to purchase Elite Dangerous. I hope the issue will be resolved soon. Thank you for the work you put in on a saturday
 
Same problem here. a few hours ago everything was working
